Sports oriented coronavirus news and information
I know a lot of sports fans are going through withdrawal at the moment but how does that make you feel???
I'm devastated that we got so close to the playoffs in a few different sports only to have the rug pulled out from under us so late in the game. Some sports may never recover, wrestling might be one... Any thoughts or just want to vent or add something on the topic of the virus that leans toward an athletic angle. Plus I'm sure our great mods that are far more understanding in this section than "that other one" lol, would allow a little latitude!!! Even though my guy isn't playing he is stuck in the US because the borders are closed. Oh ya and Japan finally took their heads out of their asses and pushed back the Olympics until next year. |

The 2020 Boston Marathon, which was initially scheduled for April 20, has been postponed until Sept. 14, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh announced Friday
The famed clay courts of Roland-Garros in Paris will not be open on May 20 for the French Open as originally scheduled due to the health risks at play with COVID-19, the tennis tournament organizers announced Tuesday. "In order to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved in organising the tournament, the French Tennis Federation has made the decision to hold the 2020 edition of Roland-Garros from 20th September to 4th October 2020," the organization said. The fastest two minutes in sports will have to wait until the fall. Churchill Downs announced that the 146th Kentucky Derby will be rescheduled from May 2 to Sept. 5. |
