It's depends on your country and what you and your escort say and do. Everyone is well aware that escorts are generally prostitutes, the disclaimers that all money paid is for time is what will save them as long as they don't contradict themselves when the time comes (i.e say something like Anal is an extra £50) but even if they do prostitution isn't always illegal it isn't here in the UK. However, many of the activities that prostitution often involve are illegal.
In the US I know that law enforcement often goes after call girls and agencies, I've heard of sting operations done on girls with ads on craigslists but I'm not sure what they charge them with.

LA Direct Models, OC Modeling, ATMLA Adult Talent Managers, Type 9 models, Spiegler Girls, etc. are all Licensed and Bonded modelling agencies serving the adult industry legally. You can't just call them up and have them send a girl round.
If you set up a production company get all your paperwork in order be completely legal and pay your taxes then you can possibly have them come round to your studio and fuck your talent on film even if you're the talent. Lot of work to go through but if you want to be a porn-star I suppose it's worth it.

If you just want a girl for the night then you need to go with an escort agency or contact the girl directly if you can. It's a different preposition altogether. You pay the girl per hour rather than per scene, not all porn-stars are escorts, it's also a bit shady as it's not entirely legal. It can also be insanely expensive depending on who you want to see and when e.g. Briana Banks was once reportedly charging $4000/Hour

lol fevrin thanks for the interesting read. Wow the government sure loves to stick it to everyone even those that already have all their holes jammed tight. I know lame joke.
