I've read comments like this back in 2009. Porn's always been "fake" And majority of the guys with big dicks in scenes now have been active for over a decade now and they've always looked stupid.

Maybe watching porn for 20 years has desensitized you? Take a break for one month and I guarantee you can pick a random new video and it'll take you to heaven no matter how "fake" it is.

I know what you mean, but just accept it that there isn't alot to be said in porn. Certainly not if it is HC.

Kind of agree although there is more variety with specialty niche porn catered to.

For example cosplay/porn parodies of regular TV/movies, with high production values, good costumes and effects etc would not be common back pre-2000 or so

I think this is the dilemma that led to that spike in bad porn parodies. Someone had the "brilliant" idea to take an old absolutely pure TV show or movie and turn them into porn- but that's not that original either.

Fresh and original is going to be really tough. And even if there was such a thing, are we even going to be aware of it? I get the feeling some of us are numb to it all now.

L-o-o-o-o-t-s of really bad generalisation here. Sure, there's bad porn, and bad acting, but b'golly that's been around since the 80's when I saw my first "blue" movie (Little Girls Blue) on Betamax.

There's also some really good porn being produced. A few of the younger generation of girls (and a tiny minoroty of men!) can actually act, and in general I feel they have better bodies - men and women - than they did in the eighties. OK if you are looking for full-length "features" you are going to spend a long time searching, because producers seem to be focussed on producing single-scene segments of 12 to 30 (or 40 and up to an hour, in rare cases) BUT full-length now means 2+ hours, not 1h 12m like in those days AND the stars are mostly clean shaven (always hated those bushes).

No, I disagree that the quality is dropping. I think it's just so much easier to find that the dreck is swamping your searches. Sure, there's tons of dreck out there, but forget Internet porn - the last time I was in an "Adult" shop (maybe 15 years ago) I looked at the DVDs on display and shuddered, literally, at the total rubbish for sale. Didn't have the stomach to try look through the shelves to find anything worth my time. I picked up my toy and left.
