both have dogs, and they all live together. Jennifer, the older twin (left, on the
opposite page – we think), feels she is more of a girlie-girl and more studious,
notwithstanding her racy tattoo – a butterfly on her lower stomach. Natalie describes
herself as more of an athletic tomboy who enjoys boating, camping and fishing.
"Our parents were really good about letting us be individuals," says Jennifer.
"We each definitely have our own personality." The two Misses December were
discovered by a PB scout when Natalie entered a swimsuit contest at a Hooters.
The twins moved to southern California last May to pursue the opportunity.
"We miss home, but we love it here," says Natalie. The sisters plan on returning
to Colorado to spend Christmas with their parents and older brother, all of whom
support their decision to pose for PB. Natalie and Jennifer say they've never gone
for the same guy at the same time, but they both have a thing for men in uniform.
"Whether it be policemen, firemen or military men – it's all so sexy," says Natalie.
Jennifer, who has been in only two serious relationships, adds, "I've always been
the type of person who, if I'm going to be intimate, has to be in love." The Campbell
twins want to continue modeling before returning to finish school. Jennifer desires a
degree in psychology and wants to work with kids; Natalie loves animals and is
eyeing a career in the veterinary field. Though they've enjoyed their party days,
they both say they've settled down a bit. "Our close friends would say we're double
the trouble," says Jennifer. "I think we're double the fun."

sciences, wanted to be a veterinarian – when they were discovered by PB. “I entered
a modeling contest at the local Hooters,” says Natalie. “I came in third, but after
that, I was contacted by PB. I told them I had a twin sister, and they told me that
they wanted to meet her, too.” The twins were hired for Special Editions, but when
Hef saw their pictures, he promoted them both to PMs. “We have our own personalities,”
says Jennifer. “I’m more feminine, and Natalie is more of a tomboy.” Natalie smiles.
“We argue,” she says, laughing. “She borrows all of my clothes.” After a long stay at
the PB Mansion, promotional work and appearances on The Girls Next Door, the
twins are back in Colorado, and back at the University of Northern Colorado. With
the money they earned as PMs, they were able to pay off their student loans – and
with the money they earn for PB promotions, they pay for further education. “We
had never modeled before we became PMs,” says Natalie. “We had some reservations
about posing nude,” adds Jennifer, “but PB changed our lives. We couldn’t have done it
without each other.”

P1aymate Crystal Harris is a sight to behold. Discover the many reasons she was able
to capture the heart of the world's most famous bachelor.

Crystal Harris needs no introduction. Long and lithe, with blonde hair and green eyes,
it’s no wonder she caught Hugh Hefner’s wandering eye. She was at San Diego State
– one semester short of her degree – when she met Hef. “I went to a Halloween party
at the Mansion, and there he was,” she says. “He was so easy to talk to. We were
both psychology majors, so we had a lot in common. It was like we already knew
each other.” He was sixty years her senior, but by the New Year, the pair was inseperable.
Hef asked her to be his number-one girlfriend and move in with him at the Mansion –
and he asked her to be Miss December 2009. After a year of weekend trips and romantic
dinners, Hef proposed to her on Christmas Eve – with a three-carat diamond ring –
and a speechless Miss Harris said yes. But five days before the wedding, Crystal ended
their engagement. The new issue of PB introduced her as Mrs. Hugh Hefner, and she
had to be rebranded as a runaway bride. “I was overwhelmed,” she says. “Hef
proposed to me on camera. There were legal proceedings – a prenuptial agreement,
Play-mate contracts – and there were other girls. It was too much for me.” But
Crystal still had a place in her heart for the PB founder, and in June 2012 – nearly a
year to the day that she ended the engagement – she announced their reconciliation.
“We’re happy,” says Crystal. “I’m his number-one girl again.” The couple has no plans
to move forward with the wedding, but she’s still got the ring – and as Miss December
knows best, anything is possible with PB.

Crystal Harris was at a crossroads. "I was in my last semester at San Diego State,
getting a psychology degree, and I didn't know what I wanted to do next," says the
23-year-old. Then she met Hugh Hefner at the 2008 Halloween party
and, well, Hef's and Miss December's Christmas came early. "Hef was so humble and
easy to talk to, which is one of the things I love about him," she says. "It was as if
we already knew each other." Crystal has become the icon's main girlfriend, the
down-to-earth yin to the wild yang of the Shannon sisters. Like Hef, Crystal has
had a lifelong love of philanthropy. Not that she's a saint. "I won't lie – I love glamour,"
she says. "Flying in private planes and fine dining? Give it to me all day, every day!
But growing up, I was far from being a rich girl, so I don't take this for granted.
I want to be a Play-mate who is a good role model." This holiday season Miss December
received quite a gift: herself. "I didn't have much confidence in myself before, and I
think the number one priority for happiness is to be comfortable in your own skin.
I am now," she says. "Living in the Mansion has been a great year of growth. I've
learned how to be myself."
