Removing recent/frequent items from taskbar jumplist
When I updated Win 10 recently with feature update, recent/frequent items can be seen when right-clicking the app button on the taskbar even though it is disabled under Settings.
I have view history turned off in VLC but right click the app in the taskbar will give a list of recent files! I'm guessing changing values in the registry is likely to fix this? |

Having just pinned VLC Media player to the taskbar to see what you are talking about, I get the same thing.
My current guess is that it's a bug in this version of VLC, or an issue between this version of VLC and an update, as none of my other apps are doing it. If you a command prompt and copy and paste in this: del %appdata%\microsoft\windows\recent\automaticdestinations\* It will clear all "recent activities" list, but as soon as you play something in VLC it will show up on the list again - arrgh.
