![]() I'm not a forensic anything but I doubt salt water would do anything more than normal water. Something like bleach or ammonia in high concentrations could destroy evidence but I doubt anything that's not a strong acid or base would work.

![]() Salt water doesn't do much more than fresh water. Bleach and lye will totally erase every trace of blood, including DNA and with multiple applications they will even wipe out amino acids so they can't use that smelly indicator solution and black light to find protein stains. These harsh chemicals are hard on fabrics and will damage most surfaces.
Enzyme based pet stain removers work pretty well at removing blood, but if the blood has dried there will still be some visible traces. |

![]() Yeah, you would have to use some kinda industrial strength cleaner in order to completely remove all traces of blood. As plasma stains any surface in comes into contact with pretty badly.

![]() We used to carry 2 liters bottles of Coca Cola in the trunks of our patrol cars when I was on the force to clean up the blood from crime scenes.

![]() I actually remember seeing a episode of Mythbusters where they tested that myth about using Cola as a way to clean up blood. I think it did a pretty good job of cleaning the blood but I don't think Cola would be able to clean up the plasma stains. As crime scene investigators use a special light to check for stains left behind from plasma after blood has been clean with water.
