S-L-O-W download speeds

Hello -

Having problems with downloading files.
Internet source: Cable
Windows 7
Use Keep2Share and Rapidgator.

A 300MB file can take 1 hour to download.
If I keep clicking on the download link, sometimes I go back to a normal speed.
Did a speed test for feed coming into house and it was EXCELLENT!
Everything else seems to be downloading quickly - or at normal speed.

When I click on it, it will show 10 min, etc to download, then it will start jumping up to 1, 2 , 3+ hours.

Are there issues with K2S or RG?

K2S links when D/Led from PS via browser normally gives about 150kb. For problems with K2S post here & you may get more help.

Slow download speeds is the intended behaviour of both the file hosts you mentioned, especially Rapidgator. I'd advise you not to waste time downloading from either.

Its a download accelerator. Just follow the link posted by midnight.
Download & install it. Copy the links & it will download the files pretty much the same way as browser... I guess. Just give it a shot, not complicated. here is a thread for Jdownloader.

If you click on K2S links posted here at PS you should get about 150kb, but if you D/L it via JDownloader you get only 50Kb.

If you have a reliable connection you just have to leave them do their thing - sadly RapidGator as a free user is just poor.

I have Premium accounts with both K2S and RG.

Cleared cache and cookies. Still SLOW!!! Will Try JDownloader.

Could not install JDownloader. Full of Malware.
Any other recommendations?

nope, mipony has malware on it.....

JD 2 beta is still safe to use with or without premium.

There are other DL managers like IDM (Int.DL Manager) but have no experience with it.

actually is a DL manager not accelerator (u get same speed as free user-visitor but manages queue and dl's, zip/rar etc. or u fill-in prem.account to get max DL results)
