I honestly thought this was staged the first time I saw it - to be fair it had no audio and the video was terrible quality. It appears Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for a joke he made about Will's wife.

The reason I thought this was staged is because everyone is talking about the Oscar's poor numbers, mega wealthy people patting themselves on the back, etc. I'm thinking they wanted to pump some life into this wayning awards ceremony with some drama.

But since that is all "Hollywood entertainment bullsh*t" , it was
all staged to get more audience ratings.

Let´s face the facts. Hollywood has lost its "star glamour" years ago.
In these days its all about Big money and producers buying up the Oscar votes
so they can brag about winning an Oscar statue. In the recent past some
movies were made with a budget of 100 million dollars, but when the Oscars
came around, the producers and company spent in excess of 200 million
to buy up the votes to get their film nominated and win that golden statue.
Do your research and you will see what I am talking about.
Hollywood is a joke.

Canadians had 35 nominations this year and Canadian produced Power Of The Dog from Netflix won best director, CODA, another streaming film won best picture

That win is actually putting quite the scare into Hollywood as things quickly change as streaming services are making very exciting content while Hollywood sticks with overkill action flicks that have zero originality. That analysis could get me in a little bit of trouble if the wrong person from Disney (who is our parent company) reads this considering we did the CGI continuity for Black Widow.

Our focus is currently with HBO and Prime who also got a few nods at this year's Oscars.
