![]() I am in a quandary about which of these two ladies I should hire for an executive secretarial position. They have both been vetted and interviewed three times and have impeccable references which have been checked by me personally. They are the cream of the crop and these two rose to the top so I now have to choose which one to hire. It's a $90,000 annual salary with benefits like a retirement package, 4 weeks vacation etc. So it's important to get this right and I would like your opinion. Because they are both highly qualified and already have experience in executive secretarial work, the only thing I can think of his how would you feel if you were coming to my office.
What I need you to do is to simply look at the two ladies and think about the following and then given all things equal which one should I hire and why. Which secretary would make you feel the most comfortable and welcome to an office environment? Which one would give a good impression in representing a major corporation and make you feel that you're dealing with an innovative and trustworthy company? If you were a half hour early for an appointment which one of the ladies would make you feel most relaxed? We don't want our clients to feel uncomfortable or nervous in our waiting room. I have these two photos from the potential hire portfolio: The first candidate has a few more years of experience and has worked in two corporations as an executive secretary and I would say she really knows her stuff. She has excellent phone, computer and secretarial skills and is very efficient around the office. ![]() The second candidate has wonderful references even though she's only been an executive secretary at her current job for 3 years. They gave her great references and when I spoke to her current boss he told me he really didn't want her to go, but he didn't want to hold her back considering the better opportunity at our corporation. She is very personable and has equal skills to the above candidate. ![]() * Please take your time and give your responses below to help me choose. Also, don't forget to let me know your reasons why you'd choose one over the other. Thanks in advance. |

![]() It wouldn't be fair for me to give my opinion as I didn't have the privilege of knowing the first candidate, while the second is the best friend of my sailing instructor with whom I am currently dating. (see proof #1)
However, since you helped me when I needed it, I can tell you that the latter also prepares an exceptional coffee, which is essential in a self-respecting office. (proof #2) ![]() I'll leave the decision "in your capable hands" ^^ |

![]() My opinion might sound a bit biased here. I would go for the second choice since she's kind of probably around or close to my generation/age group. With her working skills/credentials paired with her stunning looks and being personable as well, it would probably improve the overall workplace in both the work and human aspects. I also feel that having some eye candy in the office would at least make work not seem no dull, while also maintaining a work relationship that's strictly professional. Not to mention that bbkeeley said that she makes hella good coffee, she can use that to her advantage.
But then I wouldn't look past the first one since she does have the tools for the trade. Nonetheless, good luck with the hiring and all the best towards your company's success! P.S. Do update us on your decision haha |

![]() Secretary number 1, less likely to say or do something that could be misconstrued and open oneself up to a lawsuit.

![]() Just so we have the full picture of the duties involved, will the chosen employee be accompanying you when you travel for business? Some of those conventions can be quite grueling. You want to be sure she has the stamina to get through the long days and nights.

![]() It all comes to these fundamental questions...
How serious are you about your business ? The first candidate (Older woman) may not seem all that sexy to some people, but clearly looks as she has years of knowledge - which will come very useful for any business. She has a friendly AND confident smile, which shows to any client that she knows her business. You can trust her and any client will feel confident using this company business. Making money and profit is on the menu. The Second Woman (Younger) does have a jaw-dropping body and a very cute face. She is clearly a "top-Model" of some kind of business, but is she any good at working in that business? Does her business know-how equal what she is packing under her bra? I donĀ“t know. In the photo she is just standing sexy and not doing any work. Surely any client walking into the office would want to "bang her" in a second !.... ...but, what happens then? Will the business be a success for you, or merely a strip-show tease ? What does it mattter to you more? If it was me, I would hire the first older woman to run the office and treat my business clients. To make MONEY for me! ... and I would ask on a dinner date (and then marry) the second girl ! But be careful... the younger sexy girl may be a "gold-digger". LOL
