Windows: WMP 12 (K-Lite Mega Codec). MPC runs a bit slow (or maybe that's just me?)

if you want to play them on Windows Media Player instead of VLC, Just get a MKV Splitter and register it! There are steps on how to do this on the web! you can do the same thing with other file types like flv, real media etc... Good Luck!

You should definitely take a look at SMPlayer (http://smplayer.sourceforge.net/). I have been using it for years and it plays nearly everything. I actually started using it, because I used to watch a lot of Anime in MKV-format and it was (and still is) the most efficient player for this.
Since a few days I am also using the 2.0 RLC of VLC Player. I never really used VLC Player because I did not like the interface, but the the new version looks great so far. |
