Regarding wrestler themes: I've thought for a long time that many of them are only good because of the nostalgia and memories that we associate with them. As standalone music, most of them kind of suck. Like, I find myself enjoying Zack Ryder's theme because I like him and think it fits him, but I'd never listen to it on the (Oh) radio because it's like boy band type stuff.

I also agree that many of the lyrics are beyond stupid. Jericho's is a good example. Also, Big Show: "Get ready for something, cause you'll never know! You won't see it coming, but I promise you'll know." Huh? Aren't you contradicting yourself?

Although I will say that some wrestler themes just kick ass, like 3MB's theme! It's totally something I would listen to even if it had nothing to do with wrestling. It made me like Heath and his group that much more. And there are other times when I like a wrestler less because I don't like his theme music.

So music is a powerful thing!

Carlos Colon is going into the WWE Hall of Fame. I blame him for allowing Jose Gonazles to kill Bruiser Brody. I agree with Dutch Mantel/Zeb Colter that the death was a cover-up. All I can say is that Carlos Colon is gonna look like he's seen a ghost at Mania when he bumps into Luke Harper backstage.

Brody's death wouldn't have happened had he not been an asshole. Sure, I'm a huge fan of Bruiser Brody (and other gaijins like Stan Hansen, Vader, Dan Spivey, Johnny Ace, and Gary Albright), but he was an asshole. He refused to put guys over. He shot on guys and took liberties on them. He would have been blackballed had he not sold seats. Brody is the only wrestler murdered by another wrestler, and there's a problem for that.

Whether Colon was complicit in the murder of Brody is debatable. He, however, did help to cover it up.

On a related note: Manny Fernandez sent a receipt to Invader 2 (Jose Gonzales' tag partner). Manny fucked him up in the ring, making Invader 2 spit up blood. Colon allegedly had the lights turned off, so Manny would be attacked in the dark. Harley Race saved Manny, first by leading him out the arena with a flashlight, and then by aming a shotgun at the mob that he pulled out of his car.

Wrestlers like Superstar Billy Graham and the Honkytonk Man bitched about Abdullah the Butcher being in the HOF for exposing other wrestlers to possible Hep C contamination. Colon makes Abdullah look like a saint.

As far as the Bruiser Brody situation, I personally don't know much about the guy beyond a profile of his feud with Abdullah the Butcher in The Top 25 Rivalries in Wrestling History DVD. But I'll take your guys word that maybe he was a prick outside of the ring. Still, he didn't deserve to die in a shower. That would be like the girls in those Psycho movies that play the dead bitch.

I'd add too that whatever involvement he had in Brody's death as well as any other aspects of his past, is not documented to where a casual fan will draw the assumption that he's a scumbag. It's not like the Benoit situation where that's everywhere, right in your face even. Plus maybe it's just to show international expansion and embracing the cultures a bit outside of USA. This reminds me of Antonio Inoki going into the Hall of Fame, show that they do care a tiny bit of promoters abroad.

As far as Brody's death is concerned, I wasn't there, I don't know what happened, all I have are firsthand accounts shared in the Steve Austin podcast. First Ric Flair, he was there, he had to wrestle Carlos Colon in the main event. Zeb Colter was there, and he shared his perspective too. Both didn't mention Colon's involvement, and the basic story was Brody didn't want to do business the way they want to do it. Flair gave the backstory that Invader's infant or toddler son drowned in a pool before this, a day or more. So the guy had to be unhinged before this, otherwise it'd be just promoter pouting. Speaking of which, I just listened to Steve Austin's Wade Keller podcast, Keller interviewed Verne Gagne fresh off Brody's death, and he said Brody got what he deserved. He said that because of his own past with Brody and the guy truly being an independent contractor. I'd rather not speculate on Carlos Colon's involvement, it never was brought up in the stories I heard. Tony Atlas was the one who held Brody in his arms as he died, and helped EMTs carry him to an ambulance. I'd like to hear his thoughts on what happened.

I'm sure MIB04 noticed this, Steve Corino would call Davey Richards' double stomp the Invader, to reference that Richards "killed" Paul London with that move.

So CM Punk was on the Talking Dead last night. I want to watch Walking Dead, but I'd need to make time where I can binge on it and catch up to the show.

CM Punk, appearing as Phil Brooks, was a special guest on AMC’s The Talking Dead tonight. Brooks appeared along side Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown (she was Helen on Drake & Josh ) and The Walking Dead’s Melissa McBride. The show aired live with fan interactions pulled from social media and the audience. No mention of Brooks’ return to work or status was mentioned. Brooks did say that he, “feels like a new person”. He appeared to be well rested and happy.

Which now brings me to an idea I've drummed up for the night after Wrestlemania. Okay, Daniel Bryan wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, they give the celebration of that as the closing segment for RAW. Fans go wild, Bryan talks, everything is alright in the world. Then Paul Heyman interrupts, not happy that Brock Lesnar didn't conquer the Streak. So he said that if he can't have the Streak, then he will have something else he wants. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship. People expect Brock Lesnar to come out. Instead, "Cult of Personality" plays, everyone goes bonkers. CM Punk comes out, enters the ring, staredown with Bryan, then a low blow. GTS, Anaconda Vise, Heyman waddles to the ring and talks some more. He said you're looking at the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion, the Best in the World, CM Punk. End show.

To preserve the fantasy main event of Wrestlemania 31 being Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, their match at Extreme Rules will either end with Punk winning, or Batista coming down and ruining it all. Dave and Daniel feud, Batista wins, Cena comes in and takes the title from Dave at Summerslam. Cena holds onto the title until Royal Rumble 2015, CM Punk beats him, Daniel Bryan wins the Royal Rumble later in the night, Bryan gets to take the title from Punk. He does, Punk can finally cross off main eventing Wrestlemania on his bucket list, and then he can retire.

This plays into hindsight, even though I would not have complained while it happened, I now have to. CM Punk should never have split with Paul Heyman. There was so much gas in the tank for those two, but fortunately Paul left a reunion wide open from RAW in Chicago, plus the promos they had made it so Paul blamed the fans for Punk, and the guy being naive and listening to them. The best thing that came from the split, was CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar, aside from Hell in a Cell and the demise of Heyman and the promo battles they had, everything else was underwhelming. Namely, feuding with Axel and The Ryback.

There are listings for Randy v Batista for the belt at house shows after Mania. I know, take that with a pinch of salt, but still it could be a hint. Bryan wins his first match but Triple H injures him when he's celebrating because obviously he doesn't want him in the main event? So many scenarios could play out. Triple H is intent on making this not happen so something screwy is looming for me. I can't see H sitting on his backside allowing the main event to play out into Bryan's favour. I want to see how it'll play out.. maybe Vince will bar H from ringside? But then why would he do that, they are on the same page, aren't they.. or is Hogan gonna save Bryan when H comes marching down for the screw.

the idea is good. Brock fails to end the streak, so Heyman being Heyman goes back to his 'best friend' CM Punk. post wrestlemania epic moment. that would be two is Sting comes.

I wouldn't read anything into Randy and Batista being advertised as a title match. They only do this since Orton is champion at the minute.

Bryan to kick Triple H head off, so he can not stop the main event. lets just say Stephanie goes with him to the hospital. Hulk is backing up Bryan. Hulk probably shares Bryan spotlight at the end when Bryan wins. Maybe throw Warrior in as well. Joke I hope.

I can see Vince being back. I've been thinking he will show up other times and he hasn't. I can't complain. He doesn't need to be out there. Wrestlemania 30, its just because it is Wrestlemania 30. The best thing would be him making sure no shit goes down. Vince can be seen as a hero as well when Bryan wins the title.

Seeing as she's going into the Hall of Fame, I'd like for the WWE to release a "Best of Lita" DVD set stemming from her beginning in Mexico to the final match of her active career with Mickie James (minus the Cryme Tyme bullshit).
