is there any way to download closed caption on you tube?

i tried FF addon and grease monkey script but none of them is work.

Are you trying to add closed caption to videos? or download a video with closed caption?

download a video with a caption.

I turn on the caption on youtube, then download it with IDM.
but the result, only the video is downloaded, the CC is not.

After some looking I have found the following things that might help,

There is an open source utility called 4k video downloader That they say can handle this task for you, Alternatively, there's also a Firefox plug-in called YouTube Caption Downloader.
Google2SRT also seems to be a big topic when it comes to this as well.

I have not tried either of these but hope it helps.

I've tried YouTube Caption Downloader for firefox, but it won't work.
I think there is an update on youtube after the plug-in was made.
so it won't work anymore.
Google2SRT seems okay. but not all caption can be downloaded.
in some videos, google2srt can't detect the caption.

i haven't tried 4k yet, because its a video downloader.
and I still satisfied with IDM right now.
but i think i will give it a try.
