The most embarsing thing about wbc is that usa has yet to reach the final in one, as baseball is regarded as an american sport.

But it's really hard to get the best players as the mlb teams don't whant their best players in it, since there is a risk they can be injured.

Like the nhl teams don't whant their players in the olympic games next year

I wish I could've watched it, but not a single sports channel that I have broadcasted the WBC.

I was rooting for Japan.

Sorry for the incomplete US team selection.

The Japanese team was looking forward to playing with the US at the 2nd round and hopefully at the final.

US's failure before the semi-final certainly degraded the Japanese team's motivation, I guess.

The Japanese team had the same problem of not being the best team at the moment; lots of good players now are in the MLB and they did not join the team.
I guess I have to be satisfied with the result of being the best 4 teams in the world this time.

WBC TV broadcast schedule was pretty much full in Japan.
Even games without our team were on TV, but not all the 1 round games.
US has so many strong sports other than baseball.
Lucky for us we have very few sports that we are good at.

Dominica Republic is outstanding in that they did not lose even one game in this series!
That is one tough team.
The funny thing is that the closest team to beat them was Italy just by one score.

I hope all the teams to be the best of the best next time.
