Free File Hosting
Unfortunately my uploading days are over so I don't have a premium account anywhere. Now and then I would like to be able to upload smallish .rar files - under 100Mb - so I can share a CD with a friend. I only need the link to last long enough for a single download.
Any views on what is the best host to use for short term uploads of small files? TIA  |

Free file hostings !!!
Hello,
I'm finding some good free file hostings to upload and share my files ( for my own blog ). I want a good file hosting that provide good speed to free user ( at least 500kb/s or more ), free user can resume. At this time, i'm happy with rapidshare and jumbofiles. Rapidshare is my primary host and i need another place to backup. Jumbofiles is good, but upload speed is low. Mediafire : i want to stay away. Anyone have ideas ??? Many thank! |

500K free is a lot buddy
 bandwidth is expensive. Having said that, even if there were filehosts out and about which would meet your requirements ish  the problem is..........content. Ever heard of uploadlab.com or peejeshare.com?  LOL Neither do I.  |

Rapidshare up to 30mb downloads at what ever their premium speed is at that time
Quite useful for pictures useless for video Apart from that free users only avenue for premium speeds is a depositfiles upgrade via the request thread or becoming a free uploader like I did recently - 15 downloads later and I have a 2 & 6 hour free premium upgrade for doing not much Even in the good times there were only ever 3 hosts who were exposed to high volume traffic and regularly 500Kb+ for free users Rapidshare,Mediafire & Megaupload One is dead and the other 2 doing everything to deter us from using them 3 months ago I would have said 2share - hovered around 300-500kb but as soon as it became exposed to forum traffic via mirror creator its speeds have plummeted,its limits lowered and its internal search engine removed No host exposed to the traffic on PS would ever stay at 500KB + for free users - even if they were allowed Only setting up your own host will guarantee a 500KB download speed for free users Happy hunting |
