Favorite/Cheap/Easy to Use Video Editor
I am new to video editing, meaning I don't much about the tools available out there. I am looking to make compilation clips by cutting and pasting from my video library.
I have a Windows computer and would like to use something that's free or cheap with preferably a small learning curve. I tried VirtualDub but had issues with codecs. Also tried Camtasia but it costs $250 for a license - much more than I would like to pay to fiddle around with porn videos - and I am wary of downloading Warez. Hopefully one of you video clip creators can point me in the right direction. |

A few years back I downloaded a little program which
is very very easy to use and does the job great. It is called Wondershare Filmora9. At first, I just wanted a video-editor to make little "Film style GiFs" but as I quickly learned to use it without looking at a Tutorial, I began doing alot more with this Filmora9. It is a very cool video-editor and you can even remix sound on it to make music videos or add music mixes into your videos. You can use it to do HD quality stuff on it too.

^ I too bought filmora and have done a massive amount of projects on it, its easy to use and they are always updating AND you can request a feature and they will implement it on a future version...Speaking of which max update your version filmora 10 has been out for like a year (they confuse you by calling it FilmoraX but it means 10 (10.5 latest version)...its the most stable version Im pretty sure thats right mine literally says 10 on it) All my posts here go thru that prog first...heres an example of a video I made w/ help from another (he provided the video footage I did the music mixing & video editing)

I have used Avidemux - free open source - easier IMO than Filmora.

Reason: coded link
Code:
videohelp.com/software Kdenlive,Vidiot,Shotcut,OpenShot Video Editor or maybe the simpler VidCutter. It is really up to you and which app you like more. Personally i use a combination of 2-4 different apps. LosslessCut (previously i used Free Video Editor from DVDVideoSoft) for lossless trimming of videos. VirtualDub or Topaz Video Enhance AI for upscaling/image manipulation. And finally A's Video Converter (or MP4Joiner) for joining/converting the clips. |

I use OpenShot Video Editor, a free and open source editing program. It's easy to cut, paste, add simple effects and you can layer different tracks.
