Quiet yet Sexy

Many modern pornstars, even my favourite ones, seem to be on the noisy side during their scenes. Many of them look so pretty and dignified even during sex until they start to make noises as if they are in searing pain. I am currently watching a goddess, Bobbi Starr, in a DP and her vocal cords have done more work than her anus and vagina combined.

Which pornstars, in your observation, are quiet yet sexy in their scenes?

Brandi Belle comes to my mind. Yet some fans disliked her silent treatment towards sex.

I like it when the presence and volume of noise at least appears to correlate with experienced pleasure. I.e. no "baseline" of rhythmic ooh-ing and aah-ing and groaning like a piece of electronic dance music; on the contrary, I prefer them to stay more or less quiet, giving subtle vocal hints or by for example beginning to breathe in a more laboured manner. Then when one does approach the climax, it's evident they can't control it anymore, or at least don't care enough to - and that is empowering and reassuring.

Apart from seeming more sincere and genuine from the get-go, I find excessive vocalizations tedious at best and stupid and mood-dampening at worst, so I feel much more at ease when silences are not necessarily awkward, or filled with vocal debris. No matter how partially illusory and naive it may be, I take comfort in the idea that when the decibel levels truly start to rise, then she has less control, or fucks to give about what the neighbours think, than moments earlier. This kind of raw, primordial, animalistic pleasure appeals to me.

She's not squealing like a stuck pig because porn and movies have taught her that she should, and she's ignoring her general, societal tendency to refrain from things like yelling a the top of your lungs. Thus, not doing what she is "supposed" to do, but instead, focusing purely on the two of us.


Pornstars that don't vocalize excessively? I can immediately point out Asa Akira as an example of the opposite, but since I listen to so much porn on mute I'll have to do a bit of memory-jogging.

Good topic. I agree that as long as they represent a real attachment to the action, I don't mind a build up of noise. I can't think of any exceptionally quiet girls. I guess the only females that stick out are those over emoting the shit out of the scene.

Priya Rai is one of the most egregious violators - the name jumped to my mind just as I was re-reading my own post for errors. Ava Devine can be loud, too, but it never bothers me as it sits infinitely better with her persona. I think she might also vary her vocabulary slightly more.

Sasha Grey, who is trying to do everything these days but porn, was a habitual noise maker. In one interview she actually revealed that some directors had asked her to tone down her yelling and screaming, and that she had refused. She looks like a difficult person to deal with and still has a sexual aura about her. That sexual aura immediately vaporised the moment she started to groan like a dying animal.
