A 35 mm camera will give you something real! A downloaded image will never survive the next generation of technology, but a photograph can live much longer. Plus, the resulting photos can still be scanned and uploaded if you want. I hope more people get into the things that will truly last. I worry if we digitize too much of our History, it will be lost to the future...

not only is it about the experience. but who knows what can happen. you might see something someone else did not.
dont do it if it feels like a chore. but if its still something you enjoy doing dont second guess yourself. |

I had an SLR camera back in the day.. the big thing about them was that
you actually looked thru the lens and what you saw was what the end result would be . Big problem though.... the weight... they were really heavy ! Right now Im content with taking stills with my panasonic cam corder the quality is good...... plus... 50 times zoom ! |

Great thread. I photograph graffiti. Seeing the spot and graffiti in person is better than seeing it online. Every time I go out taking pictures it's an adventure. It's fun to be outdoors in the sun, you know? Plus, you get the thrill of trespassing and possibly running into people that won't want you there.
Also, I get to put my own spin on the photograph and I notice other things the last person may not have, of the graffiti has changed since the last photograph was taken. I have a Canon T3i, but I like the panoramas my iPhone takes. Shoot me a message if you want to see my flickr.

Scan them (best from the original negatives if you still have them) tidy them up for scratches and levels in an image editing programme, and post them on flckr.
