Keepvid Question
Hey everyone,
Does anyone here use the website Keepvid.com which allows you to capture videos from Youtube? The past few weeks the site will not work when I load in Youtube URL's...I checked out another site which allows you to also save Youtube videos, but it too failed to work.  I get the feeling the Google (Youtube's parent) has limited these websites abilities...Does anyone know a way around this?  Thanks! |

Try a firefox add-on
If thats not your browser of choice then seek add-ons for that or simply add another browser to your collection - you can have as many as you like The simple fact is many sites alter their codes which nobble all manner of things I've been using this one for eons but there are numerous others This is about the 3rd I've used in 3 years Anonym zu flashvideodownloader.org/ |

Do you have Java installed and enabled? I've justed download a youtube video of keepvid to test if it was working and I can confirm that it is.

I've been using JDownloader to DL YouTube clips recently. Once you have it installed make sure JDownloader is running, go to the clip you want and copy the URL from your browser address bar. Then go to the LinkGrabber window in JDownloader and it will give you the different download quality options including .mp3 files, HD options whene available. Select what you want and right click "proceed with selected download".
JDownloader is free so you've go nothing to download while trying. One tip - when going through the JDownloader install process make sure you deselect any browser search bars it may want to install. |

I use Keepvid a lot. Still works fine. Just used it 15 mins ago. But like DarkGuyver said, you got to have your Java up to date or else Keepvid will stall.

I use Internet Download Manager (IDM) to download streaming videos.
