Judging by the photo, I'd say she was alive and unconscious when it was taken. Look at the details-- her skin is still moist, her wounds have started the healing process, and she hasn't lost complexion. Judging by the marks on her neck, I'd say her blood loss was monitored and more was fed into her veins during the process. The end result is obviously meant to resemble the Black Dahlia, but she was clearly tortured. She probably never regained consciousness, and died shortly after this. What is astonishing, however, is the fact that they stopped the blood loss.

Sounds like the cartel has a few surgeons on hand.

That picture is horrific.

I don't think it's Nikki Rio though. Nikki had a tattoo up near her shoulder whereas the woman in the photo doesn't. The woman in the photo has a tattoo on her breast and Nikki Rio didn't.

RIP Nikki Rio.

Human race. We haven't really moved that far from public executions, huh? Terror! Torture! Blood! We wanna see, dammit! Someone with medical background please correct me if I'm wrong, but common sense suggests that if you chop up a living body, the blood flows out freely and fast, but if you chop up a dead one, it isn't the case, since the heart isn't pumping it anymore. God, I can't believe I'm discussing the subject.

I'm going to hold off the comments on how disturbing I find the violence surrounding the porn industry, the very industry that feeds the mass fantasy, let me just say that the regularity in which those R.I.P. appear here really does make you think...

Depends on the cause of death and how long the body is static after death. It won't gush out if you cut up a dead body, but it will still run outward. However, other elements of this particular photo indicate that she wasn't dead at the time. It's amazing what the human body can survive.

Stopping blood loss quickly while chopping off limbs is possible, but very hard. The sheets surrounding the body do have blood on them, but it appears that this is from a mere brush with the wounds-- she wasn't cut up there. The nubs seem to have started to heal, though. In the current state, some blood would still exist on them due to the giant openings, but a layer is over them. Fresh wounds would be much redder-- when they start to heal, they turn darker, sometimes with a black or slightly orange tint.

I have no first hand experience with massive wounds like that, but I'm pretty sure if I chopped off my arm now I'd have a higher chance of getting an infection rather than the healing process to start... God, this thread is like a train wreck, hard to look away.
