I certainly wouldn't pay such rates just for the company. But i've read about a year ago an article from German DER SPIEGEL (not the worst source) about "high class escorts", hired by very rich business men. Requirements are: intelligence, the capability to participate in all conversations, even about more complicated subjects, good manners, very flexible social behavior, and to NOT look like an escort. They are supposed to be an around the clock company, including get-togethers with business partners. That's why they may not look like been hired. Sex is an option, but not the first one on the list of requirements. One of the girls told she gets extremely good money, on the expectation of not doing many of such jobs, around a dozen per year, with still earning a lot of money that way.

Not my world, but i can see that there is such a (niche) market.

Actually full-time escorting is the next step after porn for many. Porn sets the stage and gives them the notoriety among the fanbois to be able to charge the outlandish prices many of them do.

It works for stripping too. Porn gets them feature dance gigs which pay way more than just being a house dancer.
