How much needed to start a porn studio?

I'm planning to invest my savings to start up a porn studio. I don't know where to start, how much to invest, meet whom, and how much ROI should I expect in 5 years.
A little bit about myself. Well, I've been working in a top tech company (that you literally use a product of it everyday) for a while with a six-figure income. I'm not originally from the US. I came to us to get my PhD a while ago. Since then, I was dreaming to make my own porn studio and make decent money out of it.

if there's literally nothing (and no one) you know about the industry, you may want to think again if it's such a great idea to invest your money in it... Maybe put the money in some small studio that has already been set up, see how it works, learn the industry, and then think about starting on your own... And if you only want to do it so you could fuck pretty girls (I'm assuming you're thinking about being the male talent yourself), wouldn't be easier to use escort services...?

Keep your day job! You shouldn't start a business that you know nothing about and invest a lot of money and effort into it. If you really want to follow your dream you need to find another studio that is already a going concern and see how they do it and have someone who is astute business person evaluate that business before you invest with them as a partner.

I don't know anybody in the business, that's why I'm asking here. Where to find them for networking? Any specific event? website maybe?

All you need is the cash to set up a website: all other costs incur on a scene-by scene basis.

Ie: once you have the talent (male and female) for a scene, your costs will be hiring the crew, renting the location, and renting the kit (lights, camera, etc).

As for hiring the female talent, there are plenty of agencies you can use, though it may be cheaper to hire girls that haven't signed up with anyone. Advertising in places like Craigslist has worked for many pornographers (such as the now disgraced GDP guys).

For the guys, ask around your circle of friends.

For revenue and distribution, it is worth looking into making a partnership deal with some of the main adult Tube sites, or pitching your scenes to established houses so that they will carry them.

Sounds like you want to pay someone to make the porn you like, not make it yourself?
Pitch your ideas to established producers who do similar stuff, they might like your ideas and steal them.

With craigslist he will probably find some random amateur who nobody has heard of (so no fans who will be the first subscribers to a new website), he won't have any idea of if they are good performers or not, and he probably won't even be sure if they will turn up to the set.

If I was producing porn, I'd go with professional pornstars, who I've already seen in scenes (so I have an idea of what the end result will look like). They might cost a bit more but there is much less risk.

My intention is not to insult fendogh69's friends, but if he does this he will be 99% guaranteed to hire some dude who doesn't really cut it in the looks or dick size department and won't be able to get it up for the camera. He should just hire professional mopes.

A more realistic option, seeing as fendogh69 presumably has no experience filming and/or dealing with models (I use the term in the loosest sense) then it might be more straightforward to pay a producer to produce the scenes you want. Message some porn directors (like Mike Quasar, Marco P etc) on twatter and they will probably give you an idea of what they would charge to produce a scene for you.

You need to have a decent understanding of how the porn industry works and excellent organisation skills, so that you can be in charge of management.
Shooting the scenes, or marketing and sales, the day to day running of the website and dealing with customers, preferably all of the above. Even if you don't do some of these tasks yourself, you need to have a reasonable idea of how they work so that you can organise whoever you pay to do these things.

You also haven't mentioned what porn you want to produce. Blondes/brunettes in generic B/G scenes? Br@zzer, N@ughty Amer1c@, Re@1ity K1ng5 and B@ng Br05 have 1,000s of scenes like that and they will eat you for lunch. Why would someone subscribe to your site.
My money would be on something more specialised, a fetish of some kind, it could be anal, cuckolding, foot fetish, BBWs, interracial, trans women, tattooed women, pissing, bondage, mature women etc.

There's quite a lot of interracial and trans porn being produced so it would be harder to stand out in these niches. I think there isn't a lot of stuff in the cuckolding niche right now, that might mean there is unserved demand you can make money from or it might mean there isn't much demand. I feel there might be a gap in the BBW market, there is only P1umper P@ss and a couple of pro-am sites (Jeff'5 m0de1s and ChriSTDian XXX) so there might be room for something more.
