I'd argue that to an extent this is valid for all performers. even if I focus on the actresses, the male participant having severe skin issues can/will take me out of it (just like him having a million tattoos etc.) because I can't mentally insert myself into the situation anymore.

Lots of women in porn have really bad skin. The weird thing is, this seems to be much more of an issue with American porn starlets than with their European counterparts. A lot of Euro girls have amazing skin. Not sure what the difference is, but it's noticeable.

Some of it has to do with drugs and alcohol. Most notable in the American stars. You don't see bad skin usually on Asian and Euro girls.

Maria Ozawa has terrible complexion. She managed to obscure it rather well by camouflaging it under a nice layer of make up. However, with the advent of HD, I can see the cake of make up. This being said, this does not detract or distract me majorly in appreciating her magnificent body and beautiful countenance.

PS: The same goes to my current fave porn babe, Melody Marks!

I still recall getting my first HD experience and while it was mind blowing for its clarity, it was almost disconcerting at how much detail it picked up.

There are times when I almost miss slightly lower def and I don't see any of the cake make-up. Sometimes too much detail isn't always a better thing.

If the woman are taking birth control like depo, that can cause issues with acne, even with woman well past their 20s. Makeup can cause their skin to break out as well. As for pimples on their ass, there are many reasons, like folluculitis which can be caused by tight clothing and or sweat, which in porn is VERY common.

Years ago I was really into Sadie West. I watched a behind the scenes extra on a Hustler video and was shocked, letdown. Sadie was interviewed without any makeup and her face was covered in zits; completely unnoticeable in the the scenes; at least as long as I wasn't searching for them.

Makeup transforms so many girls in porn and without makeup a lot of these girls are completely average or worse. Now when I see Sadie I can see all the zits, well covered with makeup, but I will never quite see her the same way.
