Is The End Of Uploading/Downloading Porn Close To Happening

I have been uploading porn since the early 90's and have seen a lot of changes. In the beginning lesbian post were the hottest thing going then Asian women followed by Black women and Indian women. Now with me posting on two forums a lesbian video is lucky to get three downloads, Asian video's will be downloaded from 0 to six times if I'm lucky. Right now Black women videos and hairy pussy videos seem to be the most viewed in the General Porn sections and post in the PATM section were generally viewed quite a bit but now I have ten post in the PATM section without a single download in the three weeks they've been uploaded. What cracks me up is then some of these videos people have liked them without downloading them.

I'm guessing a lot of the people are moving onto the tube sites, I'm getting close to ten years here at PS I don't know if I'll be posting much after that.

For one thing, the scenes you uploaded can be found elsewhere in smaller file sizes.
For another, they just aren't very good scenes (IMHO, maybe others too).
Another is, they're not really anal or IR scenes. I don't particularly care for either circus acts but the hounds do. Maybe that's why they're not getting any hits?

IMHO

I've been an uploader too - not "fanatic", but still (I think I didn't knew this board at that moment in time). I too stopped, mostly becauce it takes alot of time to build and maintain a mega thread.

What happened, changed? I guess it is a mix of many things, to be summarized as technology and fast consumption (+ throw away).

Technology -> mobile phones
Adult is available everywhere and anytime + immediately.

Fast consumption (+ throw away)
People look at it for the time being, and move on to the next video <- and this goes also for other issues in daily life in the general society. Little to NO responsibility.
-> They don't collect anymore.

Important note: can't blame, and NO blame to people who are young(er), and need to learn how the world functions. We were all young(er) once, and did stupid things...
BUT: it is just the way it is.

One other thing I could think of: the fact that people find passes, and download directly from the site itself. But I think that this will a minority. How else could a board like PS be so famous.
(and yet, there are many boards disapperead too)

I think few people are really collecting sets.


If I may suggest.
You upload videos, sometime >1GB + storage (<-> fast society = small files on mobile phone).
Maybe you could upload no larger than 500MB. It takes less time for you, and the downloader.
AND
You could make a footnote that members send you pm if they want a full sized video (you only mention the high quality size too).



As for what is hot these days. Well, it is also just the way it is.
BUT
you also mention some interesting facts yourself, that I like...
I estimate that my collection exsists of >90% lesbian, and I'm still looking to get access to major sites.
And you mention hairy girls, which happened to be my all time favorite girl. Any chance you might have missing sets and/or info I'm looking for - some 17 years now !

for the tube sites, i looked at them a few years ago and my impression was that they were mostly low quality, low resolution so i kept on with pay sites like v1d30b0x, Fame D1g1tal, 3vil Ang3l etc for most of my downloads and then when i want to collect more scenes of a particular actress i see whats available here.

I think you are right: now it is possible to find recently released, HQ (1080p), full scenes on the major tube sites.

I confess to using them myself when the exact same scene is posted here split among multiple downloads, that throttle the DL speed to something like 50kbs for free users, when on a tube site the file can be downloaded at over 10 times the speed.

What we here have at PS, that none of the tube sites have, are good discussion and review threads, and a tight community spirit.

I have absolutely no say in the decision making process here, but I feel that posting links to quality tube site scenes in PATM and Gen Porn (using the CODE around the links) could be a good way forward.

A forum survives only if it is able to adapt to the changing realities of file sharing online.

I post old scenes because the original links are long dead and the videos can still be hot.
