Do you think Copyrighted Porn Sharing is not a Criminal Thing?

I usually visit tech news sites , especially torrentfreak, vice etc. When I saw some torrent sites , file hosting sites were seized by authorities (like kickass, megaupload, thepiratebay and many others) it is usually caused by mainstream movie, music sharings not porn.

I mean it looks like pirating porn is not criminal, does it? Even planetsuzy contains lots of copyrighted porn movies and clips. There are also biggest tube sites which have lots of copyrighted adult material in it and no one were seized in the history due to criminal copyright infringement. Moreover adult oriented filelockers/streaming sites and so on.

So what do you think? Of course some big porn companies sues someones or some tubes (pornhd), file hostings (oron) but those were not criminal at all.
Or they dont have biggest lobby like hollywood industry to force take down of copyrighted porn sharing?

The porn companies are hopping mad they aren't shown the same rights as legit movie and music companies.

For the tube sites I know they see it as advertisement. Thats why some companies and pornstars go there and share material themselves and try to get feedback for future material.

I think they really dont have the money to go after hosts as much as huge media companies can. Consider how much more material those companies make compared to the smaller amount of porn released per company.

If there were as few porn companies as we have movies companies, they'd have more money to go after them too.

That + it is so much content in this industry, that the people who want to watch, will just switch to another movie/video than to "work" hard to pirate that movie/video. Even the "actors" see their movies/videos more like a advertising ad than a movie who will generate money, they use the movies to get to be known to their public, the "escort" side get them more money, if they have a name in industry, ofcourse , are a few, on top of food chain who get good money only from movies, but not so much ike those from hollywood.

Sharing any form of intellectual property that belongs to someone else is an offence (either civil or criminal) in most jurisdictions. Porn is no exception.

On the whole, copyright holders tend to try and have the pirated content deleted, and mostly only try to prosecute those who share, not so much those who just download for their own personal use.

The planet doesn't "contain" any material. Members upload content to third party hosts, and only use PS to post the download link.

The bottom line is I have payed for porn and will again.
I pay for it when I can.

In either situation, Porn vs Non-Porn,
I don't feel that my taxpayer dollars are being spent properly trying to convict the culprits of filesharing. Using my money for Hollywood, that's a crime to me. Fix my fucking highways before you worry about some goddamned bullshit hollywood film garbage. They don't shoot film anymore. Everything is CGI. Fuck those no acting motherfuckers. Yeah, but those p0rnhub uploads are part of a marketing strategy aimed at getting suckers to sign up to the bl@cked paysite.

Since download links to all of the 'pay' stuff ends up here (and any countless other forums), it is safe to say that it is indeed only the 'suckers' who take out a paid membership...

I can't believe we are at a point where people even ask the question if sharing is legal or not? People have been getting free porn so long a new generation does not even think its illegal to share.
