hi i am upset by the fact that i can't access this site and have not been able to get any answers as to why. its not just my machine at fault as other members on fritchy have also reported this problem. all i want to know is this a small problem or has the site closed down for good (i hope not). hopefuly the members here can shed some light on this.

I am not able to get into phun.org too. but I can with some web base proxy servers. But never mind, i don't go there a lot.

Ok, one last time. Phun.orgs web servers,along with the servers on about 30 other big sites of the adult and warez variety, are hosted by a company called Reality Check Network. Now somebody either hacked or Reality Check had a massive hardware failure of unheard of proportions and as a result disabled all of Reality Check Networks - network. The sites hosted on them IE: Phun.org are not gone. They just not active right now.
according to Reality Check Networks own site they are

We will be posting updates on this site as we continue to make progress

Phun will be back as soon as Reality Check Network gets their shit together or the owners of Phun decide to switch to another host, which judging by the length of this downtime, is probably what Phun and the others will be doing. I know I would. But that in and of it's self isn't exactly an appealing proposition as switching hosts can be a royal pain in the ass. Especially if the company you paid to host and back up your site went and got themselves hacked.
So bottom line. All the sites will be back but I'm not sure how much content they will have left... Fingers crossed!

Hello everybody...

As I'm sure you already noticed, we're experiencing some major, major, major server problems since Saturday (10/16/2010) morning. Some hacker was able to get access to the whole network of our hoster and basically fucked-up each and every single server they were managing - which are over 1000. Therefore we had to switch to a new hoster and that's no quick process.

I was finally able to switch the DNS and point it to this temporary page - where I will keep you updated and also post our daily links (hopefully) starting from Tuesday (10/19/2010). The new hoster told me it is going to take around 48 hours to bring back the old page. But I think it might take even a bit longer...we will see.

Likewise with one exception...i hardly see the point when posters are spreading the same stuff over any visible forum that they can find
