What are the industry insider things you've always wondered about? For me it's when they do a photo shoot alongside a movie. Which comes first? They seem to photograph in the order of the movie, judging from BTS clips, but when you think about it, either way the girl ends up in cum and her asshole may look a lot different by the end. So what do they do, shoot the photos and then clean up and go again, or vice versa? Or shoot the pictures as the action is actually filmed?

There are lots of other things but I'll wait and see what you guys mention.

Probably depends on the company, or the director, producer, etc. I imagine a G/G scene would be shot differently than an anal gangbang scene. This is probably one of the reasons why fake cum is a thing in porn. We need a cumshot to finish the photo shoot, but Johnny Mope already shot his load and he can't get hard again.

In the old days, I think they took the pictures as they went along. At least, I assumed they did. I remember watching those old American Bukkake videos and you could hear the camera going off all during the scene. Always found that annoying.

However, what rftcmatt posted may be more accurate and something I never considered. Doing photo sets first would explain why sometimes there are positions used in the pics that don't happen during the scene. Or why sometimes the gal may appear fully nude in the pics, but keeps half her clothes on during the actual scene.

I can't speak for all sites but any of the Billy Watson sites ie: MrPOV, Dicksuckers, Man0job, Dogfart sites (At least when he shot for them) They would take the pictures first up to the popshot then take a shot of the dick about to explode on the girl's face they would then stop and then film the scene in the same order (tease, BJ, mish, cowgirl, doggy, Rev-cowgirl, popshot) and after the popshot he would resume taking pics of the girl's face covered in cum. Pretty sure most of the companies do this and sometimes they fuck up and certain positions are omitted by mistake so the pics and video are a bit different ie Blacked, Deeper etc

I guess one question I have is why the male talent is often times used for so long. Sometimes for decades, well beyond the point where any female starlet would probably want to hook up with those guys.
I know part of it is because producers want reliable dicks but it cannot be that hard (no pun intended) to find new guys who can keep it up and perform on camera. Especially not several decades into the Viagra era.

I know the reliability thing is certainly a factor. Years ago, I watched something that went into detail on this subject. Maybe it was a BTS on a DVD. Basically, they said most guys can get hard, but the special ones, they can get hard almost on command or they stay hard between shots, positions, etc. I believe this was years before there was Viagra; Or at least long before it was widely used recreationally. I'm fuzzy on the exact details, sorry.
