Hi Solomon G,
Maybe someone here can help you out. Can you tell us more about this problem? What is acting really weird: Opera or your whole machine? Can you give some examples of the weirdness? What model iMac are you using (eg Apple Silicon, Retina, Slim - and year)? What OS are you running? What version of Opera did you upgrade to, and where did you download it from?

I’m running Big Sur 11.3.1 on a 2017 iMac with Retina 5K display. A notification popped up in the right hand corner about updating Opera and restarting. It kept opening up additional tabs that weren’t related to the page I was on. It was doing it in both Opera & Safari.
I completely deleted Opera, ran a malware scan, eliminated a few suspicious looking files, and restarted. It’s running ok now. I think I got it straightened out. |
