Video/Audio Synch Problem
I have a video in which I want to advance the audio by approximately 28 minutes (1680000 miliseconds). I have tried using AviDeumx, but the time shift tool would appear to be limited to 99999 miliseconds.
I do have a workaround using WinAVI Video Converter and Roxio DVD creator, however that would require that I re-encode twice losing video quality. Hoping someone out there might know how I can do this using AviDemux, VirtualDub or a similar programme. In particular I would like to limit the operation to one re-encode to keep as much quality in the vid as possible. I only have basic skills using the above mentioned progs - i.e. I dont fully understand demuxing and muxing processes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA |

I actually have to give credit to zigzag for sorting me out. He PMed me this solution a couple of minutes after I made my post. For some reason the forum software wouldn't allow him to reply in the thread . Quote:
Thanks to both zigzag and DiamondHead P.S. If anyone is trying this, please note that VirtualDub will not preview the audio skew. You have to save the vid to see/hear the results. It is difficult to get it just right. I would recommend saving a short section of video as a reference. Also, trying to adjust the skew from speech and watching lips move is very difficult. It is best to try and find a part of the video that has a short sharp sound and work to that. Someone getting their bum slapped is ideal . When you have the short section worked out, you can then select the full video and save that as your final version. |
