I don't know that much about computers, but I was visiting the forums here and my browser crashed. Next thing I know I got a trojan warning that warns me that I have a trojan. There was also a note that I couldn't store personal files like cc information, it was a backdoor for hackers or something like that (sorry I can't remember it all). Even the school server has put my pc in quarantine and can't log in to the network and send me an auto message with about the same message.

The thing im afraid most of my personal informations, passwords, cc etc. But what I wonder is was it planetsuzy that is infected? Since it happend right after visiting here.

Anywhere on the net can be a source for an infection but this one is less likely than most others

Unless you provide an actual link to where you were when the alarm went off
impossible to say

Might simply be a false positive from the security software

as already stated, would need the actual link, and if the source, it would be removed, etc

it also might be a false positive as also stated from the security software either you personally have and/or from the school network's security software

and in regards to your school network's security software, many schools have access to porn sites blocked, that could also be a possibility

PS doesn't seem infected, as it's mainly a message board, but maybe you clicked on a link (most likely one that hosts a picture) that took you to a site that might have infected.

We'll need more info on this, where were you in the site? (Firstly) Secondly, were you on a download site?

See the thing is staff put in 100%, little to none infections get thru,everything gets checked and nuked. So again what was the last thing you looked at or did?

and well some don't which leads to at least two instances I know of where the entire system went down because of a virus. good ol Norton (ick) a smart school would block certain sites. It likely was an ad. Love going to left leaning political sites and all the Google ads are loaded with Right wing ads. well that should balance things out.

Well .... possible, but small chances to be true. Can you provide some evidence ? Screen capture or something like that ?

I guess it can be because parental control is maybe active in your browser. You mention school server and school network will block any porn sites for sure and generate virus report even it's not. Maybe it's just false warning.

it was a particular virus at the time about 2003 and it slipped right by Norton and anyone else who had norton. so I don't pay for my av programs anymore

if it slips by paid, whats the point..

Using what I have now Avast with malwarebytes and Opera extremely rare to get a virus or malware

sites that they allow here that infect you. Its a lost cause.

Switch to firefox. download free Iobit anti malware and Comodo security suite. That should stop it.
