"Blackbird" cover by Crosby, Stills & Nash

Reason: fixed rambling sentences
"All Along The Watchtower" cover by Jimi Hendrix (even Dylan admits that this "is" now Jimi's song) "To Make You Feel My Love" by Adele (honestly, how many songs of Dylan's have been covered? He must be the most covered songwriter of all-time!) Also, I have to say, even though I think that everything Clapton touches is gold... I do prefer Dylan's original of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door." ...and surprisingly, I have to agree with you on the Brooks and Dunn song. They really did it up right! |

Blinded by the Light - Manfred Mann (original Bruce Springsteen)
Quinn the Eskimo - Manfred Mann (original Bob Dylan) I'm sure I could come up with hundreds. Many people don't realize just how many of their favorite songs are actually covers. I've met a few that thought Train Kept A Rollin' was originally an Aerosmith song.

[QUOTE=alexora;785442]In my opinion, these covers are better than the originals:
With a Little Help From My Friends Original recording by The Beatles Joe Cocker's live version at Woodstock Blue Suede Shoes Carl Perkins' original version Elvis Presley's version All Along The Watchtower Bob Dylan's original recording Jimi Hendrix's version Yummy Yummy Yummy Ohio Express' original recording Julie London's version Finally, I don't think anyone has bettered Led Zeppelin, but Ike and Tina Turner sure gave them a run for their money with their cover of Whole Lotta Love. Led Zeppelin's original Ike and Tina's cover
