Why most of the people in this forum don't use the JD?

It support 99% of hosts, and if you buy credit on some captchasolver, it will become almost automatic.

On hosts that use recaptcha, you just need to install an extension on browser, and JD will ask you to open the site, but will click alone in the box, although you will 100% of times be asked to click on some images, bla bla bla.

I don't use it, because I installed it once and it infected the crap out of my old PC with all kinds of malware. I was able to get it clean, but now I have a new PC and I'm not taking any chances.

I started using it today however i'm not that happy with it.
I added a .txt file with 5000 K2s links in it. First of all it takes 4 hours to analyze 5000 files. When you move the files to "download" and hit start it sometimes take up to 2 minutes just to start downloading 1 file.

Download speeds are fast but the rest is pretty slow.

There's another program out there, Unchecky, that tries to automatically uncheck the offers for you automatically; however, it's not been updated in a long time, and, indeed, in about four or so years or usage, it had only unchecked about 11 things for me (and a few were false positives). The reason I mention it is that it automatically shoves a bunch of entries into your computer's hosts file to stop many installers' attempts to call home to find an offer to display:

As for JDownloader itself, I find it a must-have for this site. Between password protected uploads, lengthy waiting times and file names that are totally random (yes, I'm aware of the reasons why uploaders do that, but I don't understand the usage of stupid names inside the rar file: if a password is set and you tell WinRAR to encrypt the file names too, it's not like automated scanners can work it out), I don't think I could do the download one file in the browser and wait a while thing.

Also, it seems to have stopped working recently for me, but a user here posted a good tip in the stickied JDownloader thread: if you set a PlanetSuzy thread with K2S links as the referrer in JDownloader settings for the K2S and FBoom hosts, K2S gives you an amazing 150 KB/s download speed instead of the usual 30/50. Of course, I imagine that works if you directly open a K2S link from a PS thread in your browser, so it's not really a JDownloader benefit admittedly.

You can set the proxy in the Jdownloader itself.

The time to start usually is because of wait time from host itself.


The best of bests features of JD is because you can resume downloads in almost all hosts, the only I know you can't is FileJoker, that shit one.

Yes it is a lot and i don't have much patience.
I figured out that when you have links being analyzed and other links downloaded at the same time, 1 download will take about 1 minute to actually start downloading.

So, wait for links to finish analyzing, then start downloads which in my case reached my max download speed hitting average 20/25 MB/s

Re-enter your referrer data for the K2S and Fboom (and Tezfiles) plugins. An update about 2 weeks ago blanked those fields. They've been messing with the K2S/FB plugins a lot recently.

BTW, referrers work on Rapidgator and Filejoker as well. With RG, it allows more than 5 files a day (speed and wait times aren't any better, but it allows one file an hour all day instead of ending at 5) and FJ it makes the speed 120k though it doesn't help the extreme wait times.

one of the best benefits of using JDownloader to me is the paid captcha-solving options. i use 9kw and they solve captchas at about 3-4 for a penny. I just used a visa gift card for anonymity.

thanks for this info, i was wondering why K2S suddenly went down to 50 kbps speeds about a week or two ago
