Reversed Jpegs
Hello everyone,
I found a website that has jpegs I wish to save...but when I do they're backwards or reversed - so that I have to "flip" them horizontally - ONE BY ONE! Has anyone else experienced this? And does anyone know a cure? Many thanks! |

Give us a jpg, or the website, to see what is the problem...

Well, it's like this photo I posted in the food thread:
http://veterperementour.ru/showpost.p...postcount=4801 That is the correct position of it when I took the photo with my iPhone but in my iPhone, it's upside down: head on right, tail on left. Same when I attached it to a Google Mail and send it to myself so I can download it onto my computer's desktop. But when I uploaded it to Imagebam without fixing it first, it fixed itself: head on left, tail on right. |

The software from your phone, don't know that it is upside-down or it have the option to detect this ''problem'' automatically and ''fix'' unchecked, but most software do this, like Irfanview or Imagebam, search for that option in your photoviewer from phone...or your phone photo software have checked the option to show in mirror mode, the photos...

Use GIMP to mass reverse them (with Batch Image Manipulation plugin for example).

ImageBatch works perfectly well for this. It's fast and tiny.

Question about ImageBatch: Can I flip all the jpegs at once? I can currently flip them with paint - but it's a one by one process - which takes quite a while.
Thanks! |

It will flip (or whatever process you select) every single image in a folder at once.
To that end, be careful that you select the correct folder and that only the images you want processed are in it. I've made that mistake before and cropped the right side off of every image in my Documents folder. A lot of lost goodies . |
