My Google Chrome keeps crashing.
I keep getting the message that "flash player has crashed," but when I try to DL a fresh version, I never see a link to DL. If somebody could give me a current link to DL, I appreciate the help. I thought the flash player would update automatically, but after seeing all of these "warnings," I guess my updater has not updated.
I use Google chrome mostly to DL and I deleted a lot of links that I had on it because I thought if I open too many tabs AND have the memory full of the links, then the browser would continuously crash.

Well, that error message is not very detailed.
I would recommend that you fully uninstall Chrome and the Adobe Flash Player by using the system control panel. Then re-install Chrome and go to adobe.com. In the lower right corner of that site, there is a download link for the Adobe Flash Player. Click that and you will be able to download the correct version for your operating system. |

I think I know the problem, too many favorites are eating up RAM. I am trying to remove most and the "flash player crashes" are not as many. I thought the player would update automatically, so I do not understand why I have to "manually" update it.

I once went through a weird phase when my graphics drivers were responsible for my Flash player plugins crashing. I merely updated my graphics drivers to the latest available, and all was solved.

Are there "browser drivers?" lol Thanks for sharing your experience, but I asked for a "working" flash player link.Someone else PM'ed me a working link. I will try that one, but thanks for a solution. I might have to do the complete unistall, and install a new version as suggested earlier. I just wanted to know what to do before I did something wrong.

Yay, I can post again.
As I said in the PM, try to use a clean profile for a while (no bookmarks, no extensions\addons or themes) to see if the Flash plugin behavior stays the same. |

The reason I ask on this forum is I get quick and good responses. Thank you, Thank you. I cannot say this enough, so Thank you. Onee thing I learned, but I forgot to do is "Defrag" after editing files on my computer. I think that played a big part in the "browsers attitude."

Was going to reply through a PM, but never mind.
So you solved the problem? Good to hear About the extensions for Chrome, I never used any, but you should look into some equivalent of AdBlock and as a system wide precaution, have a look at a custom HOSTS file: http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm (it's kind of the same thing as the AVG extension you mentioned, it protects you from bad sites) |

Get a cleaner like CCleaner or FCleaner and scan your registry for problems. Chances are you're going to find a fix there when you fix your whole registry problem.

Theres a something peculiar happening with Adobes automatic updates given my software checker Secunia PSI has adobe being flagged as insecure, awaiting update but nothing happened for 3/4 days. So I uninstall version 11 62 & downloaded 11 63 which fixes their latest vulnerability No guarantees that this version wont cause crashes in your browser regardless of which one you use. |
