Been catching up on UFC events.
Spoiler Alert UFC 216 main card was amazing - four spectacular submissions. Ferguson's triangle of Lee, Demetrius Johnson's spectacular armbar of Ray Borg, Werdum's armbar of Walt Harris was as slick as they come, and Borella's RNC of Faria rounded it out nicely. Here's a Gracie Breakdown showing some of the finer points of three of those subs Fight Night 117 main event was also pretty spectacular with Ovince Saint Preux putting Ushin Okami to sleep with a Von Flue Choke. Considering there have only been five Von Flue chokes in UFC history, it's pretty amazing that OSP has three of them. Cant's wait for UFC 217. Amazing looking card - on paper anyway. Three title fights: Bisping v GSP Garbrandt v Dillashaw Jedrzejczyk v Namajunas plus a crop of other interesting fights. So what do you guys think about Bisping v GSP? My problem is that I like both guys. Yeah! Despite Bisping being so mouthy I like him a lot as a fighter, and GSP - I don't know many people who don't like him. Unfortunately I don't think it will be GSP's night. Bisping is a much bigger guy and as tough as they come. |

Only three more days to go and we get to see GSP make his comeback at UFC 217.
Anybody got any predictions? Can GSP beat Bisping or will he get a thrashing? My money is on Bisping. I just think he's the bigger guy with no ring rust to contend with, and he's also tough as hell. Apart from the main event it's an epic looking card with three title fights on the line. |

I'm a lot more interested in watching the Dillishaw/Garbrant fight .. hell I'm even more excited to watch the chick fight than GSP/Bisping. I keep doubting Dillishaw and he keeps surprising me.. then again Garbrant shocked the hell outta me by beating Cruz. Should be fun to watch. Joanna finally up against a decent puncher fighter - May be the best fight out of all three title fights. That little girl punches like a dude! |

I think GSP is gonna pound the living shit outta that big mouth, lousy fighter known as Michael Bisping. I can't stand that cocky piece of shit and he's only won so far because he's been lucky. He's really not accurate on his strikes and his ground game is non existent.
If I could bet $1000.00 on GSP to win I would.

Probably Bisping, TJ Dillashaw, Joanna, Masvidal, Borrachinha. But need to think a bit more. Sexy card. So good. All are killers. |

Hehe!!! So many hate Bisping. But for some reason I really like him despite his "mouth". I also like GSP, so for the main card I won't know who to support.

I'm not a fan of either Garbrandt or Dillashaw. They both behaved like children on TUF 25, Garbrandt possibly edging out Dillashaw on the fuck that factor. I'll probably root for Dillashaw but think it's one of those "pick-em" fights. I just don't think Namajunas has what it takes to survive 5 rounds with Jedrzejczyk if form holds up. I think her only chance will be to take it to the ground and look for a sub. Masvidal probably takes Thompson Hendricks probably loses to Costa. Based on Hendricks recent form - don't know that much about Costa. |

You know, to me Johnny Hendricks was never the same fighter after he "lost" somehow to GSP for the championship a number of years ago. If you recall he owned GSP and GSP looked like he just got run over by a big truck and needed to go to the hospital. We all know Johnny Hendricks should have been awarded the won by the judges, but for some unknown reason $$$$ they gave it to GSP then he vacated the belt after 3 days, so even he known he should have lost that title fight. But Getting back to Hendricks, I really think he changed after that loss, he was never the same from what I saw in his fights, I don't think he's ever gotten over that loss that should have been a victory.
If you recall the post interview with Joe Rogan he asked GSP about the fight and he said he couldn't remember anything but the start of the fight...and yes this is what I'd like to see happen to Bisping.

L-K do not forget he was calling for WADA outside of competition testing on this fight. And that was big reason he left.
He was 100% sure Hendrix was on "stuff" and Hendrix refused to get in WADA testing! And JH performance after USADA speak VOLUMES. he don't have will and energy to make 185, let alone to fight champions. On that interview he KNEW he look beaten like that, because someone refused WADA testing. I would leave sport as well. |

Thanks for the intelligent and very informative responses (Pad & Justshare)
I didn't know about that information you all shared. If that's the case it explains a lot to me. I had thought before that JH was a cool, honest hardworking fighter but perhaps I was in the dark and unaware of the true situation. At any rate the prelims for tonight main event have been entertaining to say the least I hope the main card is just as well.
