I just had my 3rd attempt to download a file 2,5gb in size. It took like 5 hours and when firefox showed me that there is only 2 minutes and 17 seconds left it froze and didn't continue before it finally failed and unlike other hosts once it is interrupted, paused or failed it's over, no continue and reconnect. I feel a new appreciation for k2s, fboom, dfiles, zippy etc. Everyone who only uses fj can as well go away and not upload anything at all.

I've decided the idiots who upload 5GB files to FJ are not worth supporting. They're blacklisted as far as I'm concerned. There's no way of successfully downloading 5GB from FJ @ 24KB/s. The only thing FJ should be allowed to host is the magnet link files for the real download to be got from BitTorrent. Anything bigger than that is too difficult to get from FJ. |

Lately I've been getting a lot of "your download has not finished yet" even though it actually did finish (surprisingly) downloading files. What gives?

Yes. Just FJ tightening restrictions even further on free users to "encourage" them to become paid premium users instead. They also appear to have an inverse bandwidth allowance to filesize. The greater the filesize you try to download, the less download speed and bandwidth you'll be allocated. If you download something small like a BitTorrent magnet link for example you'll get the full whack of a giant 120kB/s download speed, but if you try (pointlessly) to download the giant 5GB portion multipart files that are more frequently being uploaded in here, then the very best you'll ever get will be 24kB/s, making it completely pointless downloading because you can never successfully complete a 5GB file @ 24kB/s.

Filejoker is bad for various reasons:
1. It tries to block Jdownloader users, that is making captchas even more annoying. I sometimes forget I have a time countdown running in some tab, then it goes "session expired" 2. No resumability AND single downloads that take more than 24 hrs. I have a provider that cuts the connection every 24 hrs. So a non resumable download > 24 hrs will never have a chance to finish. 3. The speed limit comes from a time, where a single file was 300 to 800 MB. With 5 GB files this limitation to such a slow speed is absolutely ridiculous, as others have already mentioned. There is no way to finish such a big download with this speed successfully 4. If you ask me we should ban FJ completely, at least ban postings with no alternate hoster. 5. Stupid Captchas: "... try again" WTF? |

FileJoker loses too much sale for fee charged.
Premium Account 30 days, recurring: $22.95 USD Transaction Fee: $ 7 USD Total: $ 29.95 USD The only way to not pay a fee is to pay with BitCoin. I'm using jDownloader with FileJoker Premium. The average download speed is 5 MB/s and does not support multiple connections (only one). If it accepted multiple connections, the download speed would certainly be much better. |

If the download speed as premium is 5MB/s, who cares if it allows multiple connections or not? Your hard drive is not going to be able to keep up with writing multiple streams all going at 5MB/s, so the bottleneck will become a hardware one. What's more important is whether the connection you have is resumable. |

@c0ntr0lz, different payment system has different fee, but there are enough options with $0 fee like Bitcoin, Webmoney, CoinPayments, E-banking, etc.
