feels worse than the end of last seaosn when Aguero scored his winner and City got the title. You always felt at the back of your mind that City would do it, but tonight everything was going so well and we are on the verge of knocking out Real Madrid then Nani gets sent off. I wont even argue about this, he put his foot up high so it is hard to argue. Still sucks because it changed everything.

just had to be Ronny that got the winner.

It doesn't mean much now, but I liked the Jose Mourinho post match interview when he said the best team lost.

Since I've only read about this, I don't know in what tone he said it, but either he was trolling or just filling his aplication to become the next Manchester United coach.
A couple things to mention:
-Big mistake by Varane in the OG, that ball has to be kick to the sidelines, don't try to be ingenious in that area of the pitch.
-SAF tried to outsmart everybody by leaving Rooney in the bench, he has to play no matter what (even tho his plan was to play counter attack).
- I don't get why Welbeck keeps playing instead of Hernandez, that chance that Diego Lopez stop with his bollocks is a goal with El Chicharito. (Even tho I hate the guy, he always score against my country with Mexico).
-Im more and more conviced that there are players that are cursed in the UCL, you can change teams RVP you'll always loose in Europe.
-Kaka, WTF? You are 1.80 something meters, how can Rafael (who is shorter than I am) win a header against you?

Finally altough it's not my team, Im kinda happy Madrid went through, I don't want to live in a house full of angry madridistas.

I just love it when teams who always have ''friendly'' referees on their side (see ManU & FC Barcelona) loose with bad decisions of them once in a while. I feel it as strong as an orgasm.
ManU is the dectator of the English football and very often it plays with 14 players on the field. As for FC Barcelona i just lost count how many times it won a game with a referees help. I hope AC Milan will not face a similar situation next week at Nou Camp.

I really don't know since I barely watch EPL, but I actually thought they were going to take advantage of being one man down. Simply because I thought now nobody can critique the defensive mindset of United now, and they were going to be able to pull a Chelsea performance or Inter back in 2010 but I think they played the role of victims too quick and were in a state of shock for about 15min and that was blood in the water for RM. I keep reading a lot of comments in other forums from United fans: "An English ref doesn't show a red card", "that's a yellow at most", "he was looking at the ball", etc.

First of all you are an English team so you are never going to get an English ref deal with it plus it seems English players *cof cof Bale cof cof* are learning (to be a cheating bastard but learning none the less).
Second, the whole he is looking at the ball argument goes down the drain when you actually don't know that as a fact, Nani would have to be the stupidiest player in the world to not know that he is in fact with another 21 players in the pitch and last maybe if he uses that semi round thing he has above his neck to control the ball or his chest maybe instead of going all karate kid, maybe the expelled one would've been Arbeloa and not him.

All in all the main responsible for United's elimination was SAF, who I think doesn't know how to deal with Spanish teams, the whole Rooney is leaving I've heard first at the beggining of the season from Ray Hudson in BTP podcast, so it wasn't so much a surprised to me that he didn't played. Also that defense, if you are one man down and 1-1 you cannot and I stress cannot allow a play like Higuain and Ozil made in the area, just for that obligingness you deserve to be eliminated.

sometimes when a team goes down to 10, you don't notice much difference, but it felt more like we had 2 men sent off on Tuesday. we had planned the game perfectly with 11 men, but there was no plan on what to do if somebody gets sent off. That is how it looked right up until Real Madrid scored their second.

I still wont argue with the decision. I was just sat here disappointed that we lost, but I wasn't on facebook ( cause I don't use it) ranting and putting up funny pictures of the referee taking a bribe or anything.

Roy Keane took a lot of criticism for saying Nani deserved the red. He was one of the pundits on ITV. When he said that I could see where he was coming from. Not knowing the player is there makes no difference. Who is to say that the situation would not be a little faster and there is more ferocity in the kick. Arbeloa head could be in the crowd, and I would love it. Nah, it was a red.
