Er what checkpoint did you use, Sampling Method and Steps, and CFG, did you merge and saftensors ?

I am still using his old version (downloaded at CIVITAI) because it
has around 5,57 Gb of stuff in it, the newer version was cut down to
about 3,97 Gb. So, I am guessing the old version has alot more info
to use, and I want to use that checkpoint for awhile longer.

On CIVITAI that's listed as a Checkpoint Merge. Does that change how it should be installed or treated?

I have not found any problems with this.
If I am doing some thing wrong, I haven´t found this information
on any S.D. Tutorials on the internet.


One curious thing I never knew from the start, until 2 weeks later,
when I read some info about S.D. in some REDDIT chats.

Inside your S.D.install
(C:\stable diffusion\stable-diffusion-webui\models\Stable-diffusion),
where you usually place all your downloaded "Checkpoints.Safetensors",
there was already a checkpoint in there from the start
named "models.ckpt".

Some people say that this checkpoint is the one used on the
previous Stable-Diffusion version 1.4.
I did not know this.
On the first day I used S.D., I used that "Model.ckpt" as my Main
Checkpoint. And the first 3 batches of images I made, came out
REALLY Terrible loooking. I decided to do a Taylor Swift picture, and
what the A.I. created for me was a girl that looked like the
Hunchback-of-Notre-Dame ! Just ugly Poor girl.
So,
I took it down and installed as my Checkpoint (for a test) one
called Dreamlike Photoreal 2.0 (by sviasem), which I thought might create images
to look like photos. The next batch of images came out wonderful.
It looked exactly like Taylor Swift and very detailed, except for the
problem that it was not so-realistic as I wished. It was more of a
"painted-photo-Anime-style" image.
In a way, its still good looking , but not exactly what I wanted to see.
This was the image I made 2 months ago...

I had to go back to CIVITAI and REALLY READ the instructions about
this certain checkpoint I was using.
Even tho it says "Dreamlike Photoreal 2.0 is SD 1.5 fine tuned on high
quality photos, made by dreamlike.art", that place is known
for artsy looking images, and not actually photo-realistic.
I guess its more for images with a Painted look to them, or images created
in the style often seen in some ANIME or RPG and Fantasy artworks. (?)
Which is also cool. I will use it next time I want that look on my images

After that,
I began testing 12 other diferent checkpoints, which in
the CIVITAI site were also labeled - "Checkpoint Merge", but I
continued placing them into my Main-Checkpoint on the S.D. Main
menu page.
Two months have passed now and I have not noticed any errors or
the S.D. showing me a "warning sign" that its not working properly.

At this moment my images are created with very amazing details,
except if I use that "models.ckpt" checkpoint. But even if I am not
using it, I will not delete it.
It may be good for something else later in the future.

models.cpkt I know where this comes from,

I was reading up and when version 1.5 was released the models.ckpt was installed also by default but now it is not instead you are asked to install the model on it's own but not how you think.

Now you download v1-5-pruned-emaonly.cpkt and rename this file to model or models and put that in the models folder as show with this example of the folder structure.

Also reading chkpnt files can have malicious code as where safetensors do not and Protogen x3.4 apparently has iffy code

From what I understand if you see Pickle then be aware, this is so new though nobody really knows (well in my head anyway) better to be safe than sorry.

I have the chkpnt and safetensor of v1-5-pruned-emaonly and it is exactly the same as the chkpnt version.
