how rotten can coffee be?

Not sure I want to find out how rotten but I recently learned that freezing it (whether whole bean or grounds) keeps it fresh for a long time. We're talking months to up ot 2-3 years.

I'm with Alexora on this one. An Italian girl friend recommended Lavazza Blue and that's what I now buy for it. There's a trick I read about to stop burning the grounds by boiling the water in the electric kettle then assembling the Bialetti for the stove. Faster and foolproof.

I also use a cafetiere and pop couple of cardamoms into the strong blend coffee before adding the off-the-boil water. For me it's yum.

Hope your coffee woes have long gone away.
