I can't be the only one hoping The Shield come out and put Flair back in his coffin

Punk is doing just fine on his own. Woah . hahaha here they come. aww damn. I thought that would be the cash in. Tommy Dreamer. he's looking well. Vickie and Cena vs AJ and Ziggler? Looks like another setup. Looks like the great Antonio Cesaro is getting sacrificed. Undertaker vs Triple H is taking this although I preferred Brock Lesnar vs John Cena. we haven't seen the last of The Undertaker. That confirms a Wrestlemania match at least. Not that I ever had any doubt that he would wrestle. The NXT invasion continues. Big E Langston has arrived. |

TLC = Great show
Tonight's Raw = Jobber entrances and complete mind fuckery The real Slammy Award winners... Tell I didn't just see that: CM Punk attacks The Crock. Comeback of the Year: Brock Lesnar Superstar of the Year: CM Punk LOL Moment of the Year: Team Hell No's Group Therapy. Trending Now: #PeoplePower Newcomer of the Year: Antonio Cesaro or Damien Sandow Match of the Year: I loved Undertaker vs Triple H, but the match that should've been a nominee and should've won was CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan at Over The Limit (The shitty "Once in a Lifetime" match was a nominee over this 25 minute classic.) On another note:

The show was worth watching just to see Flair put the FFL on Heyman and him sell like there is no tomorrow.

Bit late but I had little faith in TLC so as usual when that happens it usually turns out to be alright. 75% of the matches were still weekly show standard though and that is poor. I never understand why they can't make abit more effort for a PPV match. Cesaro for example has had many good matches on weeklys and I was sure his match would be good since it is a PPV and I have to admit it was almost as crap as the divas match. Show and Sheamus wasn't as good as HIAC.. that super-sized chair was daft and makes Big Show look weak to have to beat Sheamus like that. Can't understand why they make Show look weak. Chicken heel doesn't suit him at all. Remember Henrys reign as a heel, he took no bs and just whooped everyones ass and it was cool to see.
Good match with the Shield. They had to win otherwise you may as well have terminated thier contracts. The crowd helped make the PPV. A few segments were abit crap. MizTV wasn't necessary and seeing ADR face was more awkward than Miz. Yey, lets support the guy who drives around $350,000 cars and has a really annoying ring announcer and acts just like he did when he was a heel except he doesn't treat the audience quite as badly. Everyone will look through that bs just like with the Miz. I know no one can vouch for this but I called Brooklyn Brawler the second they said a mystery partner. I felt almost ashamed I called it that quick. The crowd wanted Ryder and I really wanted him as well so I was hoping I was wrong about Brawler but no, they actually did it. I have to say I didn't see the AJ turn coming until she was hanging around inside the ring after beating on Vick. Like mentioned it must be to do with the indifference or Dolph has schemed somehow but he didn't exactly go running to her full of congrats and if you wanted to make that story happen then that would of been as gooder a time or after the victory. Haven't seen Raw yet but have read above Flair appears. Been waiting a while, wonder why he'd show up at the mind-numbing slammys. Crap concept I might add and having it before Mania was better. |

Just finished Raw. Here are my thoughts.
The Slammies I'm in agreement with most of you that the concept of The Slammy Awards sucks. I don't care what the 8-year-olds and the 30-somethings who don't really follow wrestling think. I only care what the smarks vote. If they wanted an accurate projection of public opinion, then the overselling of the WWE app served it's purpose. Instead, if they wanted the opinions of die-hard fans, they should probably sign up to wrestling forums and poll users there. I could see from a mile away how the people would vote, and it's truly pathetic. Ryback? Seriously, the guy is trailer trash that survived being knocked around in Developmental long enough for them to get sick of him. If Goldberg wasn't winning week in and week out, he would've been at home in WCW during the Monday Night Wars, but he has no place today. Apparently, creative feels that wrestlers shouldn't be gods. That's fine, but you can't put a god among mortals. Same goes for SuperCena. You've got to give these guys a human element. And I know the people with eat that shit right up, but there is no depth for it. When Creative churns out this kind of shit, it makes awards like The Slammies at an even lower level of mediocrity. They're obviously pre-determined and these winners are who we're supposed to like, but somehow the other elements give this a darker tint in comparison. Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, and Tommy Dreamer vs. The 3 Man Band, Baybeh I never commented on the face turn by Del Rio and Miz before. Binfrog is right that that Del Rio does seem awkward in this position, but I chalk that up to the fact that he hasn't been a face in the few years that he's been in the big leagues. I know nothing about his history in the indies, but I assume that he was a heel there too. He has a lot of potential-- he just needs direction. For one thing, they need to give him something to focus on instead of having him glorify WWF relics. Miz, on the other hand, has been face before. In truth, he always reminded me of a castrated dog. I've never been a fan of him as heel or face, but it's like he doesn't have it in him to stir the fire as a face. At least he can give a decent promo as a heel. As for Dreamer, I was big fan of him in ECW but I've lost a lot of respect for him over the past few years. I loved his project EV 2.0 in TNA. It only lasted for one PPV, but that was brilliant. It was what WWE's ECW reboot couldn't do. But the man himself is just a prick. Ric Flair's Return I met Ric at a TNA show a few years back and talked to him for awhile. In real life, he's a cool dude. I've just never been a fan of guys showing up past their expiration date if they're not doing something productive, though. When I met him, he was in Immortal (say what you will, I liked the stable). Now he's just trying to pay his back-taxes. I grew up watching Ric wrestle and he was truly one of the best, but he needs to sit back and let it go. His days are over. Cena giving Flair his Slammy was supposed to be an integrity move to win over the ever-judging Philly crowd but I don't think it landed-- it looked like Cena choked anyway. The charade with Punk was just to keep him over until he needs another payday. Dolph Ziggler and AJ Mmm, AJ. AJ looked damn good last night. And the fact that she's a heel and a slut now makes it even better. Damn, she's pure sex. As for Rudolph, more power to the guy. Hopefully Vickie will now fade to black and Dolph will finally cash that bling kit briefcase in. Against Punk. |

Does anyone know if they acknowledge Ryback as being the wrestler-formerly-known-as Skip Sheffield, or do they pretend he wasn't around before his current gimmick?
Because if they do acknowledge him as being that guy, it's funny that the "newcomer of the year" has been on TV as a "WWE superstar" for nearly 3 years now. And if they don't acknowledge him as such, it's pretty lame that they didn't even change his look at all. He still wears armbands, a la the NEXUS ones, FFS. |

I'm pretty sure they mentioned that he was in nexus maybe once, but they didn't say Skip Sheffield or anything.
