Been a week where I haven’t spent any money outside of rent and food. I’m going to try and save a bit.

My bestie gave me one hell of a nice gift, a sextant for my boat in case we take a lightning strike and lose our electronics in the middle of the ocean.

A gift, of sorts.

This morning, as I was leaving my home, I saw an office chair in the area designated for bulk refuse collection (people put old furniture and kitchen appliances there, and the council sends a truck to pick them up).

I went over to have a look, and found it to be a mint condition Herman Miller Aeron® classic, size B sitting there on its 5 feet, aside for the rest of the junk!

I immediately wheeled it home and can report that all adjustments work perfectly and that I now own a hi-end chair that would have cost me something in the region of £400/500 second-hand.

What can I say: Christmas came early this year...

I can't help thinking this was the action of a cheated upon wife out for revenge on her unfaithful husband...

Everyone who owns one knows how valuable and sought after these chairs are: no way they are simply chucking theirs out: they would either sell it at market value, or gift it to a true friend.
