Oron no longer has a rewards scheme DF does

Take away the reward scheme and the speeds will increase

In all seriousness the situation is pretty simple

Too many people trying the access the same files mean the waiting times are blown out or the download speeds are SLOW

The rewards scheme means those posting the link will be doing it everywhere

Couple that with premium customers ridiculously using the 100 parrallel downloads at once and you pretty much have lock out

If your getting slow speeds that actually finish then your getting a good deal
because it cost you nothing more than Patience

The bottom line is not everyone of us 600,000 members is going to get everything we want even if we pay

in regards to DF, it's slow as hell for me, but why does RS say it's gonna finish a download in 30 mins but takes 2 hrs to be done?

Just have been dounloading a 333mb file from DF, it says it takes 2h and 22m it has taken 9h and 20m -(

Not long ago I complained of the speeds being slow on DF, after I experienced some great speeds for a while. Since then, I've still gotten slow speeds, but some of the times, great speeds as well. The inconsistency bothers me, because I can be happy one hour or day, sad the other. With Rapidshare, consistently slow. DF just seems to be up and down for me. Right now it's fine, but not less than a week ago, it wasn't.

I'm more inclined to agree with Digmen1, saying it depends on the time of day.

The funny part, last time I downloaded from DF was only a week or so ago. Those speeds were great. I usually just DL new Molly Cavalli sets from here. Then this time the speed is in the toilet. Bizarre.

I guess it's taken upon a surplus of activity since the closure of the other popular hosting sites. A theory.

RS capped the maximum download speed available for free users going back awhile to 30kb.....they dont wish to become the new dumping ground that depositfiles & filefactory have become presumably

I dont mind slow speeds as long as the files dont time out

Sure you get less content but then has everyone actually watched everything they downloaded during the no waiting fast speed times

I don't have a very fast connection.
But I think I will have to employee two guys full time to watch what I down loaded.

In actual fact this could solve the unemployment problem world wide.
You could out source watching your porn to other guys who could give you reports on what your stash is like.

I donwload often from Depositfiles: they are allowed here, so a great many posts feature uploaded files to that host.

Speed can be ridiculously slow at times (under 30kbs), but there are some times of the day when it goes up to around 100kbs.

I hope they decide to stop throttling free users: their current policy amounts to holding the files to ransom unless the user takes out a premium membership...
