What Pisses You Off?

The US Postal Service.

Today I was expecting 6 different packages, but because I wasn’t home they decided not to leave the 6th one, the one I was waiting on most. They put the missed delivery tag on my door so I went down to the local office to see if I could just pick it up. The driver isn’t back yet? Well, I’m not turning this into a vicious cycle of missed deliveries. I want what’s mine. Can’t we just waive the need to have an authorized person get the package? After 20 minutes of back and forth I managed to get the clerk to let me pre-sign for the package so they can just leave it at the door tomorrow. Bunch of idiots.

I'm with you about being pissed off with USPS. I've been doing my shopping through eBay since Amazon and I are on a break (as detailed in previous posts on this thread) and bought Neil Gaiman's The Sandman series 1-10 and paid a good amount and USPS delivered ... and left it in the hall by the mailboxes out in the open for anyone to take. I was lucky that it was early and I was home at the time to check the mail.

Spending 24hrs baby sitting your computer as you transfer 8TB of data over to a new HDD and then checking when it's done, discover you transferred it to the wrong HDD.

I hope you didn't keep checking the estimated time left. One minute it says 2 hrs remaining and then it hits a big file and says 17 day 4 hrs remaining.

The worse are Express Couriers, like UPS or DHL.
I had a package that contained medical supplies for my dad, that I ordered from a German pharmaceutical website. I stayed up all morning, waiting for the driver to ring my bell. No one ever delivered or rang any bells at all.
So then I checked the DHL website, and noticed that there was a failed delivery attempt at 10AM GMT time, exactly the same time I was at home, i got really pissed off
Thankfully I had the driver's number on my phone. I phoned him, and his only excuse was that he couldn't deliver the package, since he doesn't deliver any package in my neighboorhood, when there is only 1 delivery....
I told him if he could deliver the package at the end of the day. And he said that he takes another road when he finishes his work. So he told me that he will deliver my parcel tomorrow morning.
At the end, after staying on the phone with him, yelling and complaining with him, for nearly 30 minutes, I took my car and waited for him on a road that's 2 kms away from my home and finally got the parcel for my dad.
But I lost an entire morning, thanks to this lazy ass
Now, I understand that all these people have deadlines and very short times to make deliveries. But it's definitely not an excuse to not deliver special packages of grave importance.

Hearing a loud boom outside my door and thinking damn neighbors etc. And it turned out to be the Amazon prime guy just dropping my package on the floor really loudly instead of placing it down gently or knocking at my door and handing it to me. Needless to say my stuff was wrecked.

^^^^^ I had my house shingles replaced after a hailstorm and they pulled up on Monday morning and conveyer belted the 100 pound packages to the roof and they dropped off onto the roof like bombs exploding. I was sleeping at the time...

I enjoy doing errands late at night fewer cars on the road and fewer people in the stores.

What pisses me off is that someone will tailgate me oftentimes flashing their high beams; if you don't like the way I drive just pass me ... and since we're the only two cars on the road this shouldn't be a difficult thing to do.
