It amazes me that after commercially producing porn for about 50 years you still get scenes where you basically can't see any of the action due to poor angles and lighting. Surely it's not too hard to figure out where the camera is and keep the view clear. I also don't understand scenes where panties and tops are left on for the whole scene, most men love seeing boobs in my experience.

At times, the outfit a performer wears adds to its appeal: I see no reason as to why it should be ditched when the action begins.

The problem in that regard is that the camera operators are no longer professionals, but mostly just porn producers who have bought a digital camera and think that makes them skilled enough to properly shoot stuff.

I have also heard industry professionals talking about how the old practice of mainstream behind the camera folks moonlighting in porn is mostly a thing of the past, not counting some exceptions. It is definitely visible in the quality of the finished article.

That used to happen back in the day when porn was shot wih real film (usually 16mm).

These days digital camera are used. and pretty much anyone can call himself a DP even if they don't have a clue about lighting or composition.

I've noticed a few times where the producers left the top on to hide something, usually scars. When those god awful chest tattoos started to appear on pornstars, a few studios had the women keep their tops on to hide them. Now those kinds of tattoos are so common that they don't even bother anymore.

When Bunny Colby had really noticeable scars on the underside of her tits the studios got really creative in trying to hide them. There was a woman about ten years ago called Jessica Neight with some kind of open heart surgery scar. Most of her scenes had her wearing something to try to hide it. There were also several Sara Bell scenes where she left her panties on to hide her recent c-section scar.

When I was in my late teens I met a guy who had worked as a cameraman in the porn industry in the mid-to-late 90s.

Of course it sounded like an awesome job to have... I mean who wouldn't want to watch and be around naked, beautiful women all day and get paid for it, right?

I had heard of fluff girls who would be on the set to suck/stroke on dudes between takes to keep them hard, so I asked him about it. I mainly recall him telling me that fluff girls weren't common and that dudes would causally have conversations with him between takes while stoking their cocks to keep themselves hard for when the cameras were rolling.

I was completely horrified by the thought and I remember the nonchalant look on his face when he was telling me how after a while he became insensitive to it, so I took it dudes walking around stroking themselves was a regular occurrence on the sets he worked on.
