Bruno won't get in until either he or Vince is dead. There is some serious bad blood between the 2 of them. I think it has to do with Vince taking the WWWF (now WWE) global and some things that were done in that period to make that happen.

Now that it's merged with FCW, you have a bunch of guys that are capable of putting on very good matches ... hopefully it maintains the momentum that the "Redemption" season started. Quote:
My best guess about Foley is that he'll go in as the 'big name' next year if Bruno maintains his "no F'ing way" mentality that he has now. Karmafan: I know that Bruno is super-outspoken about hating the national expansion and the "attitude era" but I always thought that the heat started because Vince wouldn't push Bruno's son, David, back in the mid-80s. Bruno came back for a bit, and then vanished once David was established as a jobber & nothing more than that ... the cynic in me always felt that Bruno's anger about everything after was based on him being angry that his son wasn't given a push. And just for a laugh, I saw this on another board: If the WWE allowed Kofi, Kaitlyn & Brodus show that kind of personality on their TV shows, all three would be much more over than they are right now. With that said: I have no interest in sitting through No Holds Barred ever again. |

I watched WWE Legends of Wrestling Roundtable Discussion via WWE 24/7's Classics On Demand. One of the episodes was about the 1970s, and Bruno's name popped up. According to the panel members (Host Gene Okerlund, Michael Hayes, Nick Bockwinkel, Pat Patterson, JJ Dillon), Bruno's beef stems from Vince McMahon leading a change in the business, that Bruno felt he didn't fit with. So differences in ideals, and I read of Sammartino shooting down WWE's content at the time when it was TV-14. So the bikinis and stuff didn't fly with him.
I think the only wrestling he's been involved in, is ROH. He's done meet and greets, autograph signings, even appeared in their past events. In fact, ROH is heading to Pittsburgh, or maybe they already did. Anyways, Bruno's advertised for the event, as they honor him. Makes sense that he likes to associate with them, given the wrestling philosophy they have, that Bruno would put over. Oh and he actually appears on Kurt Angle's TNA DVD that was released in 2008. Both guys are from Pittsburgh anyways, so it makes sense. Plus, again, he appreciates a wrestler like Kurt Angle. |

And I hate to post such a no-reason post, but I forgot to post it earlier and now that other people have posted I don't want to edit it in: I had two random "wrestling run-ins" lately, one in real life and one on TV.
First, the TV one: my girlfriend was watching one of those weight loss shows last night, and the guy had Kelly Kelly, Eve & Michelle McCool (in full LayCool ensemble) as guest trainers for a bit. I couldn't figure out when it was taped, but it seemed like it was before McCool was 'retired'. It was funny to see them on a random TV show like that. The real life one (and this should go in the Indy thread, but that thing is so dead-and-buried that I don't want to bump it): I went to a music festival last month and had a long conversation with a guy that was so proud that his band was going to be appearing at the Extreme Rising show (the Shane Douglas ECW-reprise) ... I didn't have the heart to tell him that the fans were going to shit all over him. And then I read today: Quote:

I wish they would quit showing that 90 minute Pepsi commercial featuring Katy Perry. Every single set of commercials showed a clip.

Katie Perry movie = 90 minute pepsi commercial.
They are doing everything they can to make RAWs 1000th a huge event. I'm sure that 3 hour show is gonna be amazing. Question is how long will it be before the 3 hour show is a boring dragged out mess? They don't have enough quality content for a 2 hour show so how are they gonna fill 3 hours? At least maybe then they will give the divas more storylines and more time to wrestle instead of 3-5 minutes they get now. |
