Some promising great match from above list. Too bad Milan vs Barca, Madrid vs ManUtd should be happen on this round...too early....will be good for Quarter Final or Semi Final.

I prefer Real Madrid over Schalke . Schalke are very dangerous. At least with Real Madrid you know there will be no underestimating them. I'm confident that we can beat them. It is going to be hard with that defence of ours and we still lack in midfield, but we are still more than capable . |

Urghh Barca again?
It seems Milan has played this year against Barca more times than against Inter. No problem, rumor has it that Van Bommel will be back to cut Messi's legs, and to be honest Im not complaining too much 'cause Milan has no one to blame but themselves by "letting" Malaga get the first spot in the group. Right now it's a 70/30 % of Barca eliminating Milan, but I hope that porcentage in favor of Milan increses with the winter transfer window. For my team sake I hope. The Madrid - United matchup? To me it's a 60/40 % in favor of Madrid, Madrid will eliminate United, 'cause the "firepower" of Madrid is far superior. Defensevly I don't think neither team has a wall back there but I do think Madrid's defense is a bit more solid. And if it's a midfield kinda game I think Madrid can play possession football against anyone except Barca and Dortmund, but they will play counter attack in Old Trafford. I remember that game when Ronaldo (the original, the best) scored a hat trick there. One of my favorite games and I hate both teams. Ahh and before I forget, Milan and Inter changed the grass in San Siro so dare not to say a thing about the pitch, Barca. |

The draw of the last 16 is interesting because most of the matchups are "open" and anybody can qualify to the quarterfinals. But, 3 teams are IMO the favorites to qualify to the next round Bayern Munich, Juventus and Barcelona. I wish my beloved Milan will do an upset but against "this" Barcelona i cannot see how it is possible.
I also believe that Real Madrid will eliminate ManU. They are better in all positions, except of the attackers (i cannot understand how this Higuain guy is a player of this full of talent squad). I also believe that it is an advantage for Madrid that they play the second leg in England. I am also curious to see the latin Americans of Shakhtar against this "sonic" BVB team. Can't wait for the action to begin... |

Aarrgghh....issue about Robinho ( homesick ) and Pato ( wanted by Corinthians ) will leave Milan on next January transfer window not good for us. Hope if they leave, we can get good replacement that available for play in UCL too.
About Madrid, if we take a look The Special One's track, Domestic Cup, League...and last win UCL ( except with Chelsea )....that format happened in Inter and now in Madrid...almost similar...already won Spain Cup, LaLiga....and last should be.....well lets see how far they can go. Anything can happen in 2 x 90 minutes....that's why i love football and UCL...high octane matches.

I don't consider us underdogs and the bookies will, but I'm not going into the games thinking we don't have much of a chance . I know Real Madrid won the league last season and when they are playing their best , they are very good, but Man United are not your average la liga team ( and Real Madrid are not your average premier league team. I have to be fair ) I always keep me eye on la liga and obviously I know what Ronaldo can do. Sergio Ramos would also get in my current dream team. I'm not doubting them at all, but they are not same supreme force like the team of 2003 and they haven't been great this season. If we got Barcelona then I would definitely consider us underdogs. The last two times we have played in the champions league, they destroyed us. They are just on another level as everybody knows, even now with a slightly different team. I'm not going into the matches thinking there is a good chance we will get beat. I'm thinking there is a good chance we can win, ( more than 40% ) RVP was signed for times like this. Our defense will have to be on top form . I can't deny that our midfield is STILL not up to much. I haven't been convinced by Cleverley, when I got over to Old Trafford last month he was the worst player on the pitch for me, nobody really played well ( against West Ham) but he was the stand out for his rubbish passing. If he plays against Real Madrid he will go missing.Carrick can have a good game, he is solid, but nothing special. Nani is hit and miss, you think there is more to come and he might show it for a game or two, and then he will go back to being rubbish. I can't say anything negative about Valenica. I've never been a fan of Ashley Young, he is average at best. Fletcher has slipped because of his illness, he is/was like Carrick, solid/token scots man. Anderson is another that hasn't realised his potential. Our Midfield is weak. It will be up to our attack of course. I can't wait. |
