I ran into some more system stability and determined it was my PSU being too weak. Apparently the 850W I was running couldn't handle a 7900x, 7900 xtx, 64GB DDR5 RAM, x3 NVME drives, x3 SSD drives, x4 SATA drives, x6 140mm fans, x3 120mm fans, multiple external devices, and a water-cooling pump. So I upgraded to a 1200W and everything has been SOLID.

I dug into the issue someone posted about having trouble playing some of the newer 10bit files. When I played them in VLC (not my usual player), they were super choppy, but in MPC-HC they work perfect. I did some research and test encodes and it turns out that quite a few players are not ready for the 4:2:2 10bit encodes I recently switched to. My testing shows that 4:2:0 10bit is handled MUCH better. So I retooled my x265 scripts for future encodes. But that still leaves all of the others that need to be fixed.

The good news is that I plan to post at least 20 of them next weekend to get back on track.

That's good to hear, thanks for your hard work, I use VLC player and I haven't had any issue with any of the file so far apart from the ones I already mentioned and you already fixed. I am sure most people on here are appreciative of the free time you have given to encode these files. I hope you enjoy your trip.

I started out just using the tweak color feature in StaxRip, but for a while now I have been using Adobe Premiere Pro to do the color corrections/grading.

You will notice that the file sizes are improved after the dust has settled from the recent 10 bit encoding changes. Going from 4:2:2 10bit to 4:2:0 10bit knocked off some of the file size since there is less data. While researching the isolated issues with 4:2:2 I ran across some nice tweaks to enhance the preservation of fine textures as well as some tweaks to increase encoding speeds. So, even though it was annoying as hell to re-encode 56 files, upload them, and update posts with the new links... It may well have been worth it. Dark clouds with silver linings and all that, I guess.

Thanks for your work on the Tia Ling scene. It looks amazing compared to the original. As I mentioned I have a lot more of her scenes that could really use a remaster, that I will send over later on.

From what I've seen, good old Mediafire is still a frequent choice for uploaders who want to be able to offer both long lifetimes and fast free downloads. Looking at their paid plans (mediafire dot com/upgrade/index.php), they really only have one, which seems cheap to me... but gives you only 1 TB of storage, which may be fine for other stuff but won't cut it for video files. So likely no help there.
