OMFG what a colossal twat. Injured trying to be cool. Now we get to suffer hearing interim champion for like the next six months. He should never have won it anyway. Who was really clamoring for that win? They utterly failed to make Page because they left it too late among other factors, gave the belt to Punk, clearly losing a step with all the botches lately, who unnecessarily injures himself trying to be cool.

Is the MJF thing a work? It probably is but he's really rather convincing and Khan wouldn't want to be part of an on camera role story line so it's rather weird. I mean if anybody should be champ it's probably MJF or maybe they cash in on Wardlow while they can.

It was suggested MJF is copying in a sense Pillman. If he went to WWE I would watch for like a week and then not bother again. Their product is deflated and the commentary is tragic. He's not changing that place.

Personally, I think the whole MJF thing is a 100% work, with a wrestler (maybe Punk or Moxley) co-agenting it. A well-done work, but a work nonetheless, IMO. Do you think Tony Khan would give him a live mic, on a live cable network, in the mood MJF was in, knowing full well there was a possibility of going "off script"?

And I'd love to see Khan let MJF go to the WWE... they'll have no clue how to use him. They'll push him hard for a few weeks, then he'll be shoved down to the mid-card. That's the WWE's de rigueur... happens all the time... their writers have zero clue.

There are rumors Khan lets them say what they want but it's clever nonetheless because he knew he'd cause some confusion and get everyone talking about him. This isn't the 90's level popularity though and causing the fans to talk shit and wonder these days is seemingly just to pop themselves more than anything. What's gonna come of it exactly? I worked ya, ha, whatever. I haven't been following ratings because why really care anymore but I still doubt they've beaten the first rating they got for Dynamite.

They haven't, at least not in total viewers, don't know what the demo number for it was. But at this point they generally win the night on cable outright, losing to live sports at times. Which is comparable to what Raw was doing at one point, haven't looked deep on their numbers for a while though.

But comparing TV numbers to the past beyond maybe last year is silly because of how everything has been declining for so long. At this point, it's how you do on the night and wrestling has been pretty good at being pretty good in that respect.

The MJF situation has to be at least partly a work now, the promo felt like it was a worked shoot type of thing and I doubt TK would have let him out there to go full shoot. I was surprised he even did a promo then, figured he would have a week or two off selling the Wardlow match even if they did put the Oxygen mask on wrong for the stretcher job.
