If Sarah gained a legal qualification in the US, it means that she was planning to remain there: you can't really practice law in the UK with a US qualification: the two legal systems are too different (not to mention the law itself).

So there is a likelihood she settled stateside. Over 20 years after her retirement, and without that '80s stile big hair, no one will recognise her...
