There is another question about bitrate because i can get a 1080p video in under 1 gb but with a 2500 kb/s bitrate and i can get the same file over 3 gb with a 8000 kb/s bitrate...

For myself i'm trying to get the biggest bitrate possible but only for 720p and 1080p. For uploading i get the smaller size files.

@KeepItReal: i just bought a 4 TB HDD with 100 euros so it's pretty cheap compared to a 1 TB HDD at 50 euros.

I forgot to mention that the 2500 kb/s is almost unwatchable on a 1080p screen.

I'm also in the UK, and yes: I have unlimited data.

However my comments were made by taking into account the fact that our membership is drawn from countries all over the world, including from locations were 'all you can eat' data allowances are unusual and expensive.

As for my other points (download time and storage media), these still apply here in the UK.

I always wonder if the biggest contribution to lazy kids is the fact that they don't have to search for any scrap of porn they can find like it is a holy grail.

I almost only watch stuff in HD. On my laptop, which is where I watch most of the stuff, I mainly have 720p or 1080p, even though I barely notice the difference since my screen isn't fullHD. I also have an iMac for work and there I can notice the difference very easily. Watching 1080p porn on the big iMac screen is a pretty good experience. Never went beyond 1080p because the size is just too big for my average internet speed.

I am fairly certain you literally can't tell the difference on a screen that can't show 1080p. You can't see what it can't show.

I can because the resolution of the screen is 1366x768. There's a very slight difference but it's noticeable on some videos.

A guy my wife works with was going on and on to the people there about his UHD television purchase and how amazing it was and what a difference it was. This guy has no streaming accounts, doesn't own even a bluray player, and sure as hell doesn't have a computer hooked to the thing... so in my mind he is talking shit and made some guy at Best Buy's day. Without a source of high resolution, you are wasting your money till those things come down more in price or they come out with more to watch.
