Or if it's a pre-installed OS you have tried to reinstall from the recovery partition.

Though as a Computer Analyst I'm sure you knew all that..
I could not try the "recovery disc" as this laptop could not recognize anything and the CD-ROM is not a real size CD-ROM I tried everything I could, but Wal-Mart is guaranteeing themselves return clients by releasing "non-working computers
Thanks for that link, I will try to ask for a way to install a new Win 7 from online.
I have a Win on an External, but it is not on CD, so how can I use it if I am trying to overwrite the only working partition?

There is no magic application to fix everything, you need to find the cause before taking any action.

Can you access the Event Viewer (any major OS problem will be listed here)? or Use AutoRuns (from SysInternals) to check what applications or actions the OS is trying to execute during startup?

The way you describe shutting down the computer manually, that may have aggravated the problem, spreading it from Windows system files corruption to HDD corruption.

You have the Windows install files there (ISO or its whole content already extracted)?

Then, if you follow this: http://anonym.to/?http://sevenfo...General%20Tips

or this: http://anonym.to/?http://arstechnica...flash-drive/2/

You still have a shot at solving your problem.

I went to computer school and it depends on the order in which programs are installed.
You can buy a new cheap notebook/netbook for $300.

Back in the Win 95/98 days, yes. Not anymore.

If you are saying that Windows has advanced, then why need defrag or rescue disks?
I keep telling all of you that there is no software at fault:

Everything is healthy. Am I wrong in thinking it is Windows restarts that fuck up my computer , but how does that rewrite the OS to not boot into Windows 7 regularly?
You said "new, cheap" so how would that one be any better at "proper shut downs" than my Acer Laptop? I thought Acer was a high quality brand?

You have a Recovery Partition.

http://geekpolice.net/t7449-acer...ions-erecovery

Quote:
To access the recovery partition on your Acer computer for recovery, follow the steps listed below.

1. Power on the computer
2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the Alt key and press the F10 key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery.
3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings
4. Click OK to continue
5. From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image (approximately 10 minutes).
6. Once eRecovery has run, press OK to reboot unit

Note that all data will be lost during this process and your computer will be brought back to it's original factory state and settings.
The "Healthy" under status means the Hard drive/partition is Healthy, it's nothing to do with the files on it.

The "Healthy" under status means the Hard drive/partition is Healthy, it's nothing to do with the files on it.
Thanks, I am transferring the necessary files, porn movies to my external drivres. I am going to try this.

I wrote down the steps, so I will follow when I get everything transferred. I am almost ready to "recover."
I know the drive is healthy, which is how I know nothing is wrong. If something was wrong, the drive should be corrupt. No more trying to discuss errors. I think you just gave me what I could do to "recover" without having to spend all kinds of moneys that I do not have for some tech to do, but I could do myself.
This is exactly what I needed to know for this thread. Thank you.

I cannot get into the partition as it said. Here are my drives from Disk mangement:

How else can I get into the recovery partition?
On boot, I saw there is a DOS prompt. Can someone tell me how DOS should look, so that I can edit the correct lines. Thank you for helping me learn more about Windows stuff.
All I got "holding the Alt key, and pressing F10 was a loud, long beep. Wal-Mart probably designed their laptops with a different "F-"key.
I did boot into regular mode for several minutes. Some short progress.

How to Recover your system from within Windows

Click on Start, then All Programs, then Acer Empowering Technology.
Click on Acer eRecovery Management.
If prompted to create a password, create the password and hint
Do not lose this password.
If asked for a password, enter the previously set password.
When the Acer eRecovery Management loads click the button labeled Restore.
Click on Restore system to factory default.
The unit will restart and start the restore.
It should state "Please wait a moment..." with the Acer logo in the upper left hand corner.
At the eRecovery Management menu it will ask you how to restore.
Click on the restore option you would like to use.
